I woke up to an alarm at 5:30 in the morning. I looked around and realized I was in Betty's room. I turned my head to see Betty waking up and turning the alarm off. "Morning bub." She said as she straddled my lap and hugged me. "Morning baby." I said while tightly, and protectively, wrapping my arms around her. Not gonna lie, I did not expect her to smell this amazing at 5:30 in the morning. "You...smell...amazing...babe." I said in between soft kisses. "Thanks bub." She said while hugging me. "Come on. We have to get ready." She said as she got up. "What time do we have to leave?" I asked her, knowing she likes to get up for absolutely no reason. "Normally, it would be 7:30, but we are leaving at 7 because we have to stop by your trailer to see your parents." She said while walking around the room, getting things together. "You really think I need an hour and a half to get ready? Nah, I'm going back to bed." I said as I turned around and started to doze off. "Fine." She said sternly and sounding a bit mad so I immediately shot up. "What's wrong?" I asked her, knowing it was probably something I did. "Nothing. Just go to bed." She said as she was still pacing and running around her room collecting things. "Betty." I said as I got up and followed her into the bathroom. She was trying to find something, I could tell. I hugged her from behind and she tried to get out of my grip. "Baby, calm down." I said softly, tightening my grip in the slightest. I could feel her body relax underneath me. I grabbed her hands and pulled her to her bedroom. I sat down on the bed and turned her around to face me while straddling my lap. "What's going on, babe?" I asked her while putting and piece of hair behind her ear. "I don't know, I guess it's just my anxiety acting up and you just acting like we don't need to rush just, I don't know." She said and I immediately pulled her into a hug. "It's ok. There is nothing to worry about. You will do great. Now, it takes me literally 5 minutes to get ready so, you can get ready and I will go make you breakfast ok?" I asked her, hoping to relieve some of her stress. "Ok." She says as she kissed me and then gets off my lap to go get ready. I head downstairs to go make her breakfast and I know her favorite breakfast that I make is pancakes so I'm going to do that. After about an hour of making pancakes, bacon, and cutting up fruit, it is 6:45 and I see Betty walking down the stairs. She was wearing such a cute outfit.

"Here is your food, m'lady." I said while bowing and putting it in front of her. "Thank you, kind sir." She said while laughing and took a knife and fork and started eating. "We have to leave for your trailer in about 15 minutes so go get ready." She said as we both took a bite of our food. "Come here." I said as she took another bite. She stood up and walked towards me. I pulled her down to sit on my lap and pulled her food over here as well. "Baby, there is absolutely nothing to worry about ok?" I said as I looked at her. "Ok." She said as she took another bite of her food. I wrapped my arms around her waist and laid my head on her side while she finished eating. "Ready. Now." She sternly told me and I immediately ran upstairs in fear of what she would do to me. After about 5 minutes, I was finished getting ready and I walked downstairs. "Let's go." She said as we walked out the door. We walked to my trailer because it was only a 20 minute walk. We got there and we walked in and started screaming. "We're home!!!" We screamed in unison as we walked in. "Betty!! Jug!!" We heard JB scream as she ran out of her room. She immediately hugged Betty and I decided to act butt hurt. "Did you seriously hug Betty before your own brother?" I yelled at her. "Sorry." She said before she hugged me. "It's cool." I said as we separated. "Jug, Betty!" I heard my mom and dad say as the walked out of there bedroom. Dad hugged me and mom hugged Betty. Then they swapped places so hugged mom and dad hugged Betty. "We have something to tell you guys." Betty said while looking at all three of them. I knew it was about us and I didn't want her to get worked up so I went behind her and wrapped my arms around her and kissed her shoulder. "I knew it!!" JB screamed as she started jumping up and down. "JB, calm down." Mom said, trying to get her to stop. After about 5 minutes, she finally did. "I'm so happy for you guys!" Mom said as she hugged us. "Well, we all knew this was coming." He said as he came up and hugged us. "Be safe." He said, trying to whisper, but it didn't come out that quiet. "FP Jones!!" Betty, mom, and I screamed in unison. "My bad." He said as he put his hands up in surrender. "Well, you guys should head off to school. We will see you after." Mom said after we calmed JB down and we finished hugging. "Ok, I'll text you later and let you know where we are going." I said as we walked out the door. We walked and talked on the 15 minute walk to school as always. "I realized we didn't tell any of our friends that we're dating." Betty said after some silence. "How should we tell them." I asked her, knowing she's already come up with some brilliant plan. "I was thinking that we could be a little closer than usual when we all meet in the student lounge and then I'll say I'm gonna go grab something from the Blue and Gold, you tell me wait. I turn around and say what and you kiss me." She said as she started rambling. "I like it! As long as I get to kiss you, I'm good." I said as I stopped us from walking and I kissed her. "Just like that." She said as she started giggling and we continued walking. "You have a cute laugh." I said to her as I started laughing with her. "Thank you, bub." She said as she grabbed my hand and we continued walking. "Are you still the captain of the football team?" She asked after about a minute of walking. "Yea. You still HBIC?" I asked her. "Yup!" She said, popping the 'p' and speeding up. "Damn! We're gonna be like that power couple!" I said as I caught up to her. "Indeed we are." She smiling a real smile. It's still very rare we see them or say anything about them. "Well, we're here." She said as she walked into school. "Let's hope this will be a great sophomore year." I thought as I followed in behind her.
