Best Friends? ~A Bughead Story~

Jughead POV

Today we are going back to school and Betty is very excited. Well, not for school, but our parents are coming home today. She has a very strong connection with her mom because of everything they've been through together. She's been smiling all morning and she is super excited. Right now, we are in the student lounge with the rest of our friends before homeroom. "What's up with our Ms. Smiley over here." Veronica says about Betty while the rest of us are laughing. "Our parents are coming home today and she is really excited." I said to them as I pulled Betty on to my lap from beside me. "Yea! I'm going to go grab something from my locker. I'll be right back." Betty said as she got up and practically bounced out of the room. It's been about 5 minutes and she still isn't back yet. "Jug, she's still not back." Cheryl said and everyone nodded along with her. "I'm going to go check on her." I said as I got up and headed to Betty's locker. I walked through empty hallways because everyone wants to get to class early and I heard a locker close. I headed towards the locker sound and it was also the way to Betty's locker and when I turned the corner I could not believe what I saw.... Betty, leaned against the lockers, with Chuck, leaning on top of her, him pinning her arms against them. He was kissing her and I couldn't tell if she was kissing him. I stood their, in complete shock, not wanting to believe it. I felt tears brimming in my eyes. I saw him pull away, but I couldn't figure out what she was doing or what she wanted. I decided to speak up. "Are you fucking kidding me, Betty? After everything I've done for you, you do this?!?!" I screamed at her and I'm pretty sure that everyone heard me. "Jug, please let me explain." She practically sobbed while trying to hold on to me. "No! I- I can't be here." I said as I let the tears go and I ran out of school. Betty and I walked to school this morning so I just went to the park. I went back to the pond and just sat there and sobbed. The pond was still frozen so I just threw rocks at it, hoping to break it like Betty broke me. She's been my best friend for forever. I just don't get why she would do this. I knew that it was a bad idea for us to date.

Betty POV

"Yea! I'm going to go grab something from my locker. I'll be right back." I said and I jumped out of the room. There were a lot of people in the halls so I pushed through and got to my locker. I got what I need, but when I turned around, Chuck was there. The school fuckboy. What does he want with me? "Everyone out!" He yelled and everyone left. "What do you want?" I asked him with a disgusted look on my face. "You." He whispered directly in my ear. "Get off of me, bitch." I said as I pushed him off me. He grabbed my arms really tight, pinned them against the locker, and kissed me. He forcefully shoved his tongue in my mouth and I hated every second of it. I kept trying to push him off of me, but he was too strong. "Are you fucking kidding me, Betty? After everything I've done for you, you do this?!?!" I heard Jug scream and everyone heard him. My only thoughts at this point were "Oh shit" and "I hope he'll forgive me". "Jug, please let me explain." I practically sobbed while trying to hold on to him so I wouldn't fall from the constant sobbing. "No! I- I can't be here." He said, letting tears go and he ran out of school. I fell back against the lockers and slid down until I hit the ground. I sobbed into my knees for like 5 minutes until I felt arms around me. "What happened?" Veronica said after everyone went back to class. "I- Chu-ck." I sobbed into her shoulder. "It's ok. Calm down. Then tell me what happened." She said as she stroked my hair. I wish Jug was this understanding about what happened, but I don't blame him. I finally calmed myself down and pulled away to tell her. "So, I left the student lounge to get stuff from my locker and when I left there was lots of people in the halls so I pushed through and got to my locker. I got what I need, but when I turned around, Chuck was there. He screamed everyone out and, of course, everyone left. I asked him what he wanted and he came up and whispered in my ear,  "You." I told him to get off me and I tried to push him off, but that didn't work. He grabbed my arms really tight, pinned them against the locker, and kissed me. He forcefully shoved his tongue in my mouth and I hated every second of it. I kept trying to push him off of me, but he was too strong. I heard jug scream at me, Chuck finally got of me, and you know what happened from there." I finished off and I was completely sobbing. "I'm so sorry. Do you want me to go find Jug?" She asked me as she sat next to me against the lockers. "No. He probably doesn't even want to talk to me or even see me." I said as I pulled my knees into my chest and my head in between them. "Everything will work out how it's supposed to. Ok, B?" She said as she leaned her head on my shoulder. "I hope so. I really hope so." I said to her as I stuck my head back in my knees and sobbing more than ever before.
