focus."

"akinori's gonna
arrive any time soon."

eita sighed before putting down his phone. he was at work, so it was only understandable to focus.

"i was just talking
to kenjirou. he had
questions about
atsuko."

eita replied, clearly lacking the energy he usually has. the other two seemed to notice this earlier but did not ask, until now.

IWAIZUMI HAJIME
"are you both good?
you good? you don't
seem like yourself
lately."

TERUSHIMA YUUJI
"yeah, we're worried."

???
"what's going on? why
are you worried? c'mon
we've been doing this
for years, no need to be-"

TERUSHIMA YUUJI
"it's about eita, you idiot.
and why are you late?"

eita and iwaizumi nodded their heads at the person who just arrived.

IWAIZUMI HAJIME
"konoha, i thought you
were gonna be early
today?"

"yeah, you were
nagging us nonstop
yesterday to be early
and here you are,
arriving an hour later."

the said konoha only rolled his eyes at his coworkers. he put down his things on their table before pulling a chair to sit on.

it was a quiet day anyway so it was okay for them to chat a bit.

KONOHA AKINORI
"so, what happened?
why are you guys
worried about eita?"

since the other two also did not know the answer, they all turned to look at eita who stared at them in return before giving them a shrug.

"i'm just confused,
that's all. you don't
need to worry
about me."

KONOHA AKINORI
"oh no, we are gonna
worry about you
because we're your
friends."

TERUSHIMA YUUJI
"yeah!"

KONOHA AKINORI
"-and also because
tomorrow's the day
and we can't have you
looking so sad, man."

IWAIZUMI HAJIME
"yep, and also that.
but mostly because
we're your friends."

eita chuckled lightly at their attempt to lighten the mood. he appreciated it.
