Prompt: random item, famous person, and a day of the year
I chose: *sea salt necklace* my dad *Euclid* gave to me on *my birthday*.
It was my birthday day. Oh yay, I thought. Just another day to be ignored. I rolled over, planning to go back to sleep when something shiny caught my eye. I crawled over to my window to get a closer look. The sun was already high in the sky, and it was causing the object to be blinding. As I grabbed the object, I felt a cold shock go through my body. I pulled the object out of the sun and turned it over and over. It was a box, blacker than obsidian with a silver bow on it. I opened it and was shocked. Inside on a deep, royal blue cushion was the prettiest necklace I had ever seen. It was light blue and sea green with a large pear the size of a nickel in the middle. I ran downstairs so fact I nearly tripped on Calypso, my sphinx. "Out of the way!" I whisper screamed. "Dad can't see you!" Moodily, she went back into hiding under the fireplace. I continued my search for my dad. "EUCLID!!!" I called out, the sound echoing in our house. Not here, I thought to myself. My dad was always at work so it was no surprise to me. It still hurt a little though knowing that he probably didn't even know what today was. Not only was it my birthday today, but it was the last day of 'summer'. I was going to go compete in the gods of Olympus trial the next day and I was so excited. I got ready to go when Mrs. Ceto walked in. "GOODNESS CHILD!!!" she screeched! "YOU AREN'T GOING OUT LIKE THAT ARE YOU?" Before she could tackle me and force me into an awful dress, I was out the door in an instant. I didn't stop until I was deep in the forest, Calypso stalking me. I was heading straight to our cave high in the mountain, where my friends and I met almost every day.
