First Thursday update!! Hope you are enjoying so far 🥰

Carlos POV

Once Celeste had left the room Nik signed the documents which handed me over his company, and I gave him 2.6 billion dollars in return. He kept forcing me to give a larger sum of money, but I am a stubborn sun of a bitch so I gave him an amount in which I will still earn a lot of profit.

I proceed to make my way out of the door and down the corridor to the exit of the club. I don't plan on ever coming back here again.

The chauffeur brings my black matt BMW around onto the empty street in front of the club, passing me the keys before and opening the door for me. I'm going to sort out the mess someone made so I guess I'm not getting any sleep tonight.

As I start driving rain begins to pitter-patter on the window. The few people that were out, ran for shelter as the clouds spat their beads of water. Puddles began plinking as the rainfall became heavier. The roofs of cars danced with spray and I could hear the murmuring of the rain through the windshield.

That's when I notice the beauty from the club walking alone on the streets. I can't have that. My instincts take over and I abruptly stop the car on the curb nd jump out I see a switch balde in her hand aimed at my stomach "dont worry darling I'm not gonna hurt you just wanted to give you a ride home the streets aren't safe at night".

"I'm fine I always walk by myself sir" she sighs tucking away her knife. "Always carry a knife then" I question with a hint of humour.

"Like you said never know who on the streets". "I'll take you home no arguments".

"Jesus whatever" she rolls her eyes and im so close to telling her off for rolling those beautiful eyes at me. I take her hand turning her so now she is facing me. Rain rolls down her forehead, her cheeks are flushed and her gorgeous hazel eyes are wide with awareness; she doesn't look at my face she keeps her eyes trained on the floor as if she is disappointed in herself.

"Are you alright?" I ask knowing fully well she isn't in the slightest.

"I'm fine, I'm fine" she says not convincingly at all. "I don't like it when people lie to me". "Well then don't ask. You offered a ride that's all not a heart to heart" she grumbles. I hum in response and open my car door for her. After she slides in I round my car and turn on the engine.
She immediately focuses her gaze outside the window as I head off. When I rev the engine she jumps in shock, a tiny grin grows on my face, but I push it back for her sake. I guess she never been in a sports car before.

"What's your address" I question whilst starting to drive. "Umm, Downtown Brooklyn" she speaks lowly as if she is embarrassed by her home's location. Downtown Brooklyn is probably the roughest area and now I'm driving her in a fancy sports car.

I can understand her uneasiness.

"Could you be a bit more specific Celeste, I will take you to the front door", I just want her to be safe. "Grafton street apartments" she says, I put the place into the sat nav to see it is a 20-minute drive away.

"You were going to walk home for an hour at this time, Celeste do you realise how dangerous that is?" I say concerned that she would walk alone. "Yes, I do it every night, bad things are inevitable thats why I'm always prepared", her voice soft with calm, getting quieter towards the end of the sentence as she doesn't want to talk.

We both sit in tension filled silence as we drive through the deserted streets. I don't know Downtown Brooklyn well it's not exactly my scene nor is America at all.

Italy is my home, and I am going back soon once I have completed the business I have here.

I pull up outside the rough apartments the door swings open and a man who is definitely high walks out with a beer bottle in his hand. How can she live here? She's so delicate.
