Carlos POV

"What do we do now, we've searched the entire floor, she's already gone" Mario says what I was thinking. "We have to take the compound and find her at the end. Let's take out all the guards we see from now on," I direct take charge in a way I usually don't.

Mario nods in agreement, "we need to find Gideon then."
"I'm here, just finished my section" he informs from the doorway. He looks around the room surprise and shock on his face, "Maia killed Fausto" I inform answering the questions in his head. He nods and turns to leave; we follow after him.

"There's four guards at the top of the stairs" Gideon informs from his vantage point. I check around my corner 3,2,1 I mouth.

I take a shot the bullet hitting two men, the first through the head the second through his neck. Gideon and Mario take out the others swiftly, blood pools under the bodies.

"Shit" I mutter. Drops of red fall over the balcony to the next floor, alarming anyone who walks past of our presence. "Search the bottom floor" I command at them, "I will stay at the stairs for anyone who sees the blood."

I keep watch as they head down the stairs, once they are out of view, I head down myself. Silence surrounds me, only the drop of blood hitting the floor echoing off the walls.

"This way" a man whisper-shouts anger and fear evident in his tone. The sound of footsteps draws closer. I duck behind a wall as a group walks in surrounding someone with a cane. Just from one glimpse at his face I know who it is. Tyrone.

The man who killed my mother and my brother, the man who tortured Maia from the day she was born. Anger floods my system all reason leaves my brain.

"Tyrone" I snarl, drawing his attention. "Carlos Marchetti what a pleasure to see you again" he smiles sadistically. "How's your family?" He chuckles taking a step back into the circle of men.

I grit my teeth together trying to stop the urge of murdering him immediately. "You know exactly how they are," I seethe my blood boiling.

"Oh yes, you were there. I'm so sorry for your loss," he plainly lies. "I see my Maia did a good job when she escaped you" I chuckle low, trying to change the subject from my family to his. "I don't think it's 'my Maia' she belongs to me" he hisses trying to keep the ruse that he was always in control.

It was Fausto.

"Funny that, because I'm pretty sure she said, and I quote 'I am yours and you are mine'. Do you think she's ever said that to Fausto?"

"I see you got close with my daughter, she's quite beautiful, isn't she? Shame she has such a bad temper" he chuckles mischievously. "She got taught many lessons because of that temper, she doesn't learn very quickly."

I don't know how much longer I can wait before lashing out at the bastard but there are too many guards for me to take out on my own. "So, Tyrone, how is retirement treating you?" I must hit a nerve with that because his hand grips tighter on his cane making his muscles turn white.

"Or maybe the better word to use is fired" I chuckle deeply, my words hitting like blows.

"Kill him!" he demands, hiding behind his men. I duck behind the wall evading the first few shots. "You know Tyrone, your daughter did something you couldn't do" I shout over the sound of bullets.

"She killed Fausto herself," I shout, pride filling me. I dip my head around the corner taking a shot at one of the men, an array of bullets fly my way but mine still hits it mark, the man falls to the floor.

"You can't stay there forever" he shouts anger on every word. "No, I can't" I spit, nodding down the hall.

"Just till, NOW!"
