Maia POV
"Antonio Rochi." The name brining back memories of that day.
How the hell did Carlos get him?
I don't know what I was thinking nearly telling Carlos about 'us' I think I effectively diverted the conversation. Hopefully he forgets all about it, especially with the Antonio situation.
He leads me to the basement where I was once held captive, the awkward silence sending chills down my spine. I want the chemistry between us to go back to normal.
"Oh my god" I mutter, shocked at the bloody man crumpled in the darkness. He is truly fucked up; he deserves it though for working with my bastard of a father.
"The princess, soon to be sister-in-law, it's nice to see you again" he mumbles with a sadistic grin plastered on his bloody face. I don't remember ever seeing this man, but I can see the relation between him and Fausto.
"Oh, that's it, the last time you saw me was when you were 7 you probably don't remember. I gave you that teddy bear that you loved so much" he speaks. I do remember that teddy, it was a present I got from him after a meeting I sat through with my father.
I thought he was being nice but when my father found the toy I spent two days in the black room, he told me I was too childish. I was so young.
"I-I don't think I can do this" I whisper to Carlos in English, so Antonio won't know what I am saying. Taking a step back from Antonio, just seeing his face brings back so many memories of my horrible life before. "Yes, you can, hurt him like his family hurt you" he tells me subsiding my nerves.
I look back at Antonio who sits smugly in the cell, that smile has to go. Carlos takes out a knife from his pocket and I take it out of his hands admiring the sharp edge. "The princess finally got a backbone" he jokes.
"First of all, don't call me princess because I am definitely not royalty. Secondly, I have murdered 59 people and I don't mind making you 60. And thirdly that smile of yours is going to go." I say confidence and adrenaline running through my veins.
The slight change in his body language tells me he is scared, good, he should be.
Edging closer to Antonio, I decide what the best punishment for the fucker is. Obviously, he has been tortured recently but I'm going to do something different to crack him before he inevitably dies.
I twiddle the knife between my thumb and index finger, bowing to eye level with him. "My brother has missed you, he wants his little princess back" he hisses smugly. "I'm sure he does" I smile with composure.
I turn the knife, so the point is touching the lip of his mouth, he jerks back his head bumping into the wall. "You wanted me here, so you get the consequences" I lightly joke.
"You have a big fucking mouth, don't you?" I tilt my head questionably. His silence is futile, especially when he won't be able to talk. "Any final words that big mouth wants to say" I chuckle my face so close to his, looking down on the pitiful man.
"You will always be the little princess" he taunts before I stab the knife into the fucker's mouth. I cut a line right through his tongue, blood gushing out.
He chokes on his blood his eyes going faint and rolling back in his head. "I am no one's princess" I spit, grabbing the back of his head so he looks right at my face.
I stand back watching Antonio choke, pleading for help in his eyes. Carlos walks in giving me a proud smile, I pass him the knife blood dripping of the metal. The potent metallic smell filling the room.
I walk out of the sell, watching Carlos give him the last words he will ever hear. "See you in hell" he smiles, slitting his throat. Sweet oblivion slowly accepted him into its grim grasp; his body went limp.
