Carlos POV

Giuseppe is really pissing me off. He won't give me the fucking information I need unless Maia is there. I don't know why he is so interested in her he thinks she just another plaything who does work for me, so what's the big deal.

My father is a sinical man he enjoys putting people down but that never worked on me, and it never will. He holds the power in this conversation because he's got the last know location of Tyrone's closest associate who will probably know where he is. I just hope one of Tyrone's men make contact with us about Maia, it has been over two weeks since we sent the video, and we haven't got anything back yet.

Maybe he forgot what his daughter looked like? He does sound like a shitty father after all.

I've been playing with Maia since I was injured, I just had to when she walked into my room all nervous. She's probably nervous right now, she probably knows she is going to be punished as soon as we finish this meeting.

I am going to enjoy seeing her beg.

I ignore Giuseppe's comment, "are you going to tell me?" I question getting annoyed at his ridiculous antics. I know he wants something from me before I get the information, but I don't know what, seeing as he is already a rich prick.

"Now, now son remember this is an exchange not a charity, I need something in return" he says smugly. And there we go; I am always right.

"What?" I question internally rolling my eyes. "So, I heard you had someone very special in your grasps she goes by the name Maia Severino, ringing any bells?" he chuckles darkly. Shit. How does the motherfucker even get this information?

Something repeatedly brushes past my leg, so I look towards Maia whose leg is shaking madly. Her face is pale, and she doesn't seem to have the same fight in her and the fire in her eyes that she does normally. She scared out of her damn mind.

I grab her knee to stop her from shaking the whole fucking room, but she doesn't even spare a glance at me she just stares at the table as if it is so interesting.

"Yes, I know who she is, but she's supposed to be dead" I reply knowing that's what my father thinks. "Well yes, she should've died when I killed the bitches' mother, but I've heard you found her, am I correct in thinking that?" he says self-satisfied.

Dammit Maia wasn't supposed to know that.

"Don't you think I would've told you if I had the most important girl in this business, she's priceless" A quite voice begins "umm I'm sorry but could I go to the bathroom?" Her voice shaky I can tell she is upset; well, she is sitting in a room with the person who killed her mother so it's understandable.

"Stay silent girl," Giuseppe replies, so she turns to me hoping for my sympathy. I don't see sadness in her eyes I see rage, anger and pure fury. I nod at her giving her permission to leave, I know she just going to get away from this conversation, but I will let her anyway.

The chair scrapes along the floor as she stands up flattening her dress out so it's covering her more. "Ow" she screeches when Giuseppe grabs her writs harshly pulling it over to his face. "Let me go!" she spits. I go to make him let go when I see what he is looking at.

Her wrist has a tiny tattoo, an infinity symbol with T and S inside each oval. Tyrone Severino. He marked her; how did I not notice this before?

"She's Maia, isn't she?" he snarls pissed I didn't tell him. He pulls Maia closer to him looking her over, "she looks like him, I see it now" he spits in anger. He continues before I can say anything, "so son what the fuck were you planning on doing with the girl everyone wants, because it obvious you aren't planning on killing her."
