As always I was right about John B having a plan. The boys talked while I talked to Kie last night at the dock. They filled me in this morning and Pope and I went to go pick up Kie.
"So you and Rafe huh? I would've assumed you and JJ by the way he protects you." Pope glanced over at me while he drove the boat.
"Yeah. Sometimes things just happen unexpectedly. Plus our families are friends. I don't like when he hurts you guys but I can't control him. I'm sorry Pope." I looked at him and back to the docks as we pulled up to the wreck.
"Code red!" Pope yelled at Kie.
"What the hell is going on?" Kie asked while jumping in the boat.
"JJ and John B conked out in the marsh. They need a tow." Pope told her.
"Uh,okay. Well what does that have to do with me?" She asked while setting her backpack down.
"Umm mechanical purposes duh. Ya smart cookie." I smiled at her nervously in hopes she believed us.
We made it to the "stranded" boat and Kie climbed aboard. John B and JJ jumped off and swam to Pope and I before Kie could escape. The boys and I laughed as we watched Kie and Sarah freak out.
"Get your asses back here." Kie yelled from afar.
"We can't. Not till you two figure it out." John B yelled back as he jumped into the boat.
We drove off and headed back to the chateau. JJ sat down by me and John B was on the other side.
"How come you didn't stay?" JJ asked while trying to dry his wet hair.
"Because i'm friends with both of them. I don't have beef to hash out with either of them. And if I can avoid the drama I will!" I handed him a towl and leaned back on my elbows.
The next morning we headed back to pick the girls up in hopes that they solved their problems.
"So did you guys...ya know?" Pope asked and looked at the two totally pissed off girls.
"Reconcile our differences?" She questioned.
"Mm-mm" Sarah shook her head no.
"Not even close" Kie confirmed.
"But we're...willing to work together." She looked over at Kie and Smirked.
