As i'm on Rafe's bike I noticed John B's van. Rafe pulled right in front of the van and Sarah came running out. I jumped off and stood to the side.
"What the hell is wrong with you? Brin, what are you doing here with him?" Sarah walked up to Rafe.
"There she is! Little miss perfect!Don't talk to my girlfriend like that." Rafe yelled at her back.
I was afraid but I also felt safe in a weird way because Rafe was protecting me.
"I just heard about your little home invasion." Rafe whispered yelled to her. "What would dad say if he knew you rob dealers?" He got more verbally aggressive the more they spoke.
"I don't know.You could tell him if he didn't kick you out." Sarah smarted off back.
"Babe what?" I was shocked. He never told me he was completely kicked out.
"Listen the guy that you robbed is a bad man sarah!" He got a little less louder.
"Yes i'm aware Rafe!" She responded.
"Listen he gave me this! He gave me this for being late on a payment!" Rafe showed her his arm.
My mouth dropped and I covered it with my hand. I was finally getting answers I wanted.
"I'd give Barry his money back, like yesterday." Rafe pointed to the ground while getting in Sarahs face.
"You worry about your shit, i'll worry about mine!" She yelled back at him.
"All right, i'm taking care of my own shit okay?" Rafe yelled even louder causing me to flinch. I had never seen that side before.
Rafe forced me to get back on the bike and we left. I was very unsure of my situation.
We finally arrived at my house. Thankfully no one was home so my parents wouldn't have to meet an angry Rafe.
We walked inside and sat on my bed. It was silent until I finally spoke up.
"Rafe...I want you to be absolutely honest with me and tell me the truth. I want to be on your side but with my friends and you that'll never be possible." I looked up at him and turned myself so I was facing him.
"Brin I can't put you in the middle. You just need to tell all of your little friends to stay away from Barry. He's bad news." Rafe explained while sitting closer to me.
"Then what the fuck are you doing with him?" I stood up and shouted at him.
"I can't tell you okay?! Just know i'm handling it!" He screamed at me.
"Okay...got it. I just care about you. I don't want you to get hurt. I can't promise that I won't do anything stupid but I can promise you that i'll protect you if I have to." I starred at him and watched as his emotions shifted back to the boy I met a few weeks ago.
"I'm sorry for yelling at you." He got up and gave me a hug.
I hugged him back and then pulled away. I took his arm into my hand and carefully held it.
"Does it hurt?" I asked while softly touching around the wound.
"Uh...yeah a little." He nervously rubbed his neck.
"Really only a little? Because when Barry touched it you screamed like a little girl." I smirked at him and he playfully pushed me away.
"You're so annoying." He laughed at me and took his arm away.
"Rafe...you can stay here if you're not welcomed at your own house. I'll tell my parents something and see if you can stay here for a while. I don't want you to be going house to house,okay?" I cupped his face with my hands and put my forehead on his.
"Okay. You're the best thing to ever happen to me. You are my home." He gave me a kiss and I felt like it was just him and I on this planet.
I sat down with my legs on either side of his lap and from there our emotions and love got the best of us. Next thing I knew Rafe and I fell asleep.
