life was a whirlwind of planning, dresses, flowers, and venues

now don't get me wrong you were so excited to marry emily, i mean she was your best friend ad the love of your life, but god, was it a lot of work

luckily you had garcia to help with everything, but even the penelope garcia couldn't do all of it herself

which left you with a big chunk of the planning, essentially every moment you weren't either asleep or at work you were planning, picking bridesmaids dresses, cake flavors, creating invitations

you often found yourself thinking back on the early months in your relationship, you spent your days sneaking around with emily, stealing secret kisses, tiptoeing out of hotel rooms in the pitch black night, everything was so exciting, every moment was an adrenaline rush, god what you would do to have that for just a day again.

one night, after emily had just asked you out, you were sprawled out on her couch, a bag of chips in one hand and your phone in the other, listening to the storm outside while scrolling through pinterest looking at wedding dresses, by this point you had your heart set on marrying that woman, suddenly you heard the door unlock, and the sound of keys dropping on the counter, you popped your head over the back of the couch to see emily standing there, soaking wet from the rain, wearing a long black coat, her hair matted to her face, her mascara dripping down her cheeks

"hello beautiful" you said smirking

she rolled her eyes letting out a small chuckle

"leave it to me to forget a umbrella during a thunderstorm" she said running her hand through her sopping wet raven hair

you giggled and stood up

"come on, lets get you cleaned up"

you grabbed her hand and pulled her up to the bedrooms bathroom

she peeled off her coat and threw it on the bed, pulling off her thigh high boots as well as her black pants and black turtle neck

you headed to the closet grabbing her a tank top and some sweat pants, coming out and throwing them onto the bed for her
