The Stolen Jewel

Chapter 1

Ashley and her friends were admiring the jewelry at the jewelry store when a loud "boom!" It was so loud it shoke the whole store.

"Wow that was loud!" Ellie said holding her ears.

"Ya I can barely her!" Elizabeth shouted, "Can you all hear?"

"Kinda." I replied.

"Sort of!" Roxy yelled.

Roxy was new at our school and she became friends with me and Ellie so did Elizabeth except she moved, and now she lives next to me. Roxy and Ellie lived a few minutes away from us so we get to see each other a ton.

"I wonder what happened." Elizabeth said looking around, after we could her again.

"Ya me too." I said.

"Let's look around." Roxy said walking around.

"I want to see that necklace I loved." Ellie said walking toward it. Then she gasped.

"Where did it go?" She cried as if she were going to faint.

"Ellie it's fine. We'll have to look for it." Roxy said trying to calm her down.

I looked down and I saw shattered glass. I tapped on Elizabeth's shoulder and pointed down. So Ellie wouldn't get freaked out.

"It looks like it was stolen!" I whispered.

"We should tell them." Elizabeth suggested.

"I think so too." I said, " Umm guys the necklace was stolen."

"What!" Ellie said weakly her legs giving out.

"Ellie its ok." Roxy said caughting her.

Ellie took at deep breath and then started circling the room.

"Why don't we go look at some clothes or something."
Elizabeth said.

"Ok!" Ellie said.

"Good she can take it off her mind off of the stolen necklace." Roxy whispered.

"What store should we go in?" Ellie said looking at a shoe store and a clothes store.

"We can go in both." I said.

"Let's go." Roxy said.

We looked at a few shirts and jeans. I found a really cute sweater, and we all got a pair of jeans. Ellie and Elizabeth got a purse, and Roxy got a shirt that looked really good with the bracelet she got at the jewelry store.

"Let's looks at some shoes to go with our clothes." Ellie said leading the way.

"Can we get something to eat after." I said.

We all agreed to go after we went to the shoe store.

"Wow look at these!" Roxy said in awe.

They were some white flats that pretty much went with anything; glossy and had a gold ring on the front.

"I love them." I said.

"I'm definitely getting these." Roxy said taking them to the counter.

I got some turquoise flats that were the same model as Roxy's. Ellie got some converse and Elizabeth got some boots to go with her shirt she had a home.

"Time to eat!" I said leading the way. But then they stopped for some reason.

"Look!" Elizabeth said pointing at a shiny object.

"It looks like a diamond." Roxy added.

"What!" I as said walking back over there.

"It from that necklace." Ellie said,"We have to find who took my going to be accessory."

"Ok take the diamond and put it in your pocket and keep safe." I cautioned.

"Ok. Ok." Ellie said taking it.

Roxy and Elizabeth went to get the food ordered while Ellie and I looked for some more diamonds.

"Any luck?" Roxy asked.

"Nope nothing but popcorn." Ellie replied upset.

"Where's Ashley?" Elizabeth asked.

"She's coming she saw something in a store she liked." She replied.

I did go to another store but what she didn't know was I went back to the jewelry store.

"Where did the diamond necklace go?" I asked the clerk.

"Someone stole it." She replied calmly.

"Are you going to do something about it?" I asked respectfully.

"Yes I called the detectives."

"Ok well if you find anything can you call me here is my number." I handed it to her and she said she would call me. I left and I went to the food court.

"Mmm its smells soo good in here." I said walking toward them.

"Yep." Roxy said gestering me to sit by her.

When we got in the car we went to Roxy's house for a little bit.

My phone rang. It said blocked number (voice mail)

"Who is it?" Elizabeth asked.

"Shh." I said trying to hear it.

"You shouldn't try to find the necklace. It was MINE anyway. Your friend doesn't deserve it. So don't you dare try and find me."
"It sounds like a man!" I thought.

"Who was that?" Elizabeth said since I looked concerned.

"Umm a guy took the necklace and-"

"Do you know his name?" Ellie asked quickly.

"He never said it." I said, "I'm going to play it again for you to hear it."

After I played it they were all concerned especially Ellie.

"I'm scared." Ellie said as we heard knock on the door I looked and I saw a strange car in the front.

"Roxy grab a pen and a notepad and go through the back door and around the house to see the license plate we will answer the door.

We opened the door. " Hi."
