The Stolen Jewel

Chapter 9

   I called my mom and she said that she would head home right away. She also said that Ellie's dad,Mr.Tom, said he was going to come in the morning and ask us about what we did. We decided to tell him all the important details.
  When my mom got home, she of course, took a donut and she asked what we did all night and we said we'd tell her when Mr.Tom came. We went upstairs to go over things and eat donuts!
"Ok so Mrs.Susan is John Harper's mother, and he died yesterday." Elizabeth said.
"Yes. And Kendale is working for Cooper." Roxy added.
"So those are the main things right?" I asked.
"Ya but what if my dad wonders how we ended up in the house and how Elizabeth met Mrs.Susan." Ellie said.
"We'll tell him but we'll say that Mrs.Susan is a nice woman and she was mad that we were on her land but then she ended up being a very sweet woman, the end." Elizabeth said.
"Ok that may work." I said.
"Maybe if he doesn't believe us we can have an interview with her." Ellie suggested.
"Wait don't we have an interview with Cooper Harrison tomorrow?" Roxy gasped.
"Oh my gosh! We do!" I said to loud because my mom said to stop talking so loud.
"Let's tell my dad in the morning," Ellie said yawning," but I'm ready to go to sleep. "
"But what about the all nighter?" Roxy pleaded.
"Don't you want to be awake for all the action!" Ellie shot back.
"Ya I'll give him some comeback alright." Roxy said.
We all laughed.
"Ok good night!" I said.
"Good night!" Ellie said yawning again.
"Night!" Elizabeth said.
"Nighty-night night!" Roxy said full of energy.
"Maybe you shouldn't of had all those donuts." I said laughing.
"Ya my stomach is agreeing with you right now." Roxy said.
"If your going to throw up just leave the room." Elizabeth said.
"Fine." Roxy said.

The next morning my mom turned on the light and said that we need to get up because Ellie's dad was coming in fifteen minutes. We hurried and got dressed and put on tennis shoes because if we had to run we didn't want to wear our new shoes. We ate pancakes, bacon, and eggs for breakfast. One word equals that meal,'Delicious!'
Ellie's dad came with a lot of equipment. He asked us questions we gave him answers and he said he want to interview Mrs.Susan so he had to schedule a date and then something struck me.
"Mr.Tom, we have a meeting with Cooper Harrison and we were going to ask you could you have some undercover police officers to watch him and possibly capture him?" I asked.
"Yes I will I'll give Jim a call right now!" He said excusing himself.
Jim was the deputy so he gave him a call so he and some other police could meet at...
"Where are we meeting Cooper at?" I asked.
"I don't know." Elizabeth said.
"Maybe at the mall that's where we met Kendale." Roxy said.
"Well she doesn't know we know him." Ellie said.
"Well we can ask if she happened to know where John Harper is not Cooper." Elizabeth stated.
"Ok let's tell our parents." Ellie said.
We told our parents that we were heading to the meeting but we still had a hour to figure out where to meet Cooper.
Yes we know this is very dangerous, and yes we needed to find... that... jewel.

Once we got to the mall we went straight to the jewelry store, where it all began.
"Hi miss... Kendale," I said casually, " Have you found anything about the jewel.
"Umm, we have a little bit." She said.
"Oh we have a meeting with someone named John Harper, we thought that you sent him to my house to tell us he was on the case." Roxy said carefully.
"Oh yes, John. He said he would meet you at the food court by the Japanese to-go." Kendale replied.
"Thank you so much!" Ellie said.
"Your welcome." She said coldly.

Kendale picked up her phone and dialed Cooper's number.
"Hey... Ya there heading there right now... They don't suspect a thing... Yes I'm positive... Ok the plan will work... Ok... Bye." Kendale said smirking.

"I'll call my dad." Ellie said.
"Hey dad, he's meeting us at the Japanese to-go at the food court in beach side mall."
"Thanks hon, and be careful."
"My dad said that they are heading here." Ellie said ready for anything.
