The Stolen Jewel

Chapter 3

We drove so we could get beside the car and see who was in it.

"Does that look like the lady at the register in the jewelry store?" Ellie said.

"Ya and look who's beside her!" I said pointing."Its Cooper!"

"Elizabeth slow down and follow them but be casual." Roxy said.

"Ok but I may have to let them drive up first." She replied trying to keep her hands on the wheel because she was distracted.

We followed them to a dirt road. It was old and abandoned.

"Should we go any farther?" Elizabeth asked putting the car on park.

"Ya.We should go by foot." Roxy said.

As we jumped out of the car I saw 3 diamonds lying on the ground. "Guys come look!"

"Oh my gosh!" Roxy said.

"Let's keep following them." Elizabeth said leading the way.

We found 5 more diamonds when we came up to a house.

"What's the address?" Ellie said.

"I'm not sure let's go through the trees and go to the side of the house." Roxy said.

"You wouldn't believe how may thorns and vine and bugs there were. I have a ton of blood spots hopefully my mom won't wonder what we're doing. Oh my gosh my mom she probably wondering where we are!" I thought.

"Girls after we find the address we should go to my house my mom is going to wonder where we are!" I said walking a little faster.

"Text her and say we're in traffic." Elizabeth stated.

"Good idea." I said pulling out my phone, "Ugh no signal."

"That's great just great." Ellie said.

"I see the address!" Roxy said point toward it.

"Thank goodness!" I said.

"What is it?" Ellie asked.

I pulled up notes on my phone.

"1645 Pinewood Dr." Roxy said.

"Let's head back I see someone." Elizabeth said.

We ran as fast as we could but Ellie tripped on a vine.
"Ouch." She scream landing on a thorn.
We ran back to pick her up. Who ever it was, was getting really close to us.
"Come on girls." Roxy said.

We made it to the car safely.

"Ellie I forgot but what did your dad say about Cooper Harrison and John Harper?" I asked.

"Oh ya. He said that he had just heard about what had happen to John. The only thing he was surprised of was that Cooper had his car because it was totaled or at least that's what they had heard." She said.

"What how did he get the license plate?" Elizabeth said.

"Ya and wouldn't the license plate be totaled too?" Roxy added.

"Ya that's what my dad is trying to figure out." She said.

I changed the subject because the whole thing was very scary almost like a horror movie I watched the other day. Like déjà vu.

"So do you all want to get a movie to watch tonight and-" I got interrupted by Roxy.

"Yes! We should totally get some candy, soda, and cotton candy, and how could I forget POPCORN!!!"

"Wow Roxy you must have had that in mind too." I replied.

"Ya Roxy I don't think you need any of that stuff you'll be one million times hyper as you are now." Elizabeth said.

"Don't you need that energy for an all nighter?" Roxy shot back laughing.

"Oh my gosh Roxy! You forgot to say ice cream." Ellie said pertending to be disappointed.

"You guys are to much." I said.

"We know!" They said in unison.

"What movie should we get?" Elizabeth said.

"Let's get some movie so we can make fun of it like a kids movie." Ellie said trying to stop laughing.

"Let's get an adventure movie. So it will go with what going with our " case." Roxy said.

"That's creepy I actually have a movie like that." I thought, "If you want to watch a movie that goes almost the same as ours I have at home call Jewel Thief." I suggested.

"Who's in?" Elizabeth said.

We all raised our hands.
"Alright then let's go to the store!" Elizabeth said turning into Publix.
