The Stolen Jewel

Chapter 7

Elizabeth pulled out a red dress with a golden imbrium and a black floral design stitched on it.
"What about this lovely dress?" Elizabeth asked.
"Oh yes. This is a dress I wore to a fall reunion fashion show in 1983."
"Wow what place did you get." Elizabeth said.
"I got third place. It wasn't the best fashion show, but it wasn't a real fashion show." She replied.
Then Elizabeth pulled out a fushia dress with a silver lace belt around the waist.
"This one is great what did you wear it for?" Elizabeth asked.
"Oh I wore it to a wedding, I was a bridesmaid. I think it was one of my cousin's wedding." She said, "the after party was wonderful.
" I bet it was. I've never been to an after party though."
"Oh you'll have to go to one one day." Mrs.Susan said.
Then she pulled out a green elf costume.
"Were you in a play before?" Elizabeth asked.
"Oh no only in my elementary days. My husband, Mr.John,was in a play he was uh... you know." She said looking down.
"Oh, Mrs.Susan I'm sorry."
"You're fine doll."
"What is his last name?"
"Oh well both of our last name is Harper. Our son just died yesterday." She said sighing.
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that. I said, " What his name was John Harper and his son's name is John Harper! And he died yesterday!" Elizabeth thought.
Then Elizabeth pulled out a blue and gold anklet with diamonds hanging on the ends of it.
"This is beautiful! Where'd you get it?"
"That's a long story."
"Oh we've got time."

Roxy and Ellie just started pulling at the wood but it hasn't move.
"Come on, open up!" Roxy said.
"My arms are getting tired."
Ellie added.
Then the wood broke to two pieces. And a door was behind it.
"This is our exit." Roxy replied relived.
"Thank goodness! I don't know how long I could take it." Ellie said.
"It's locked." Roxy sighed.
"Great." Ellie replied shaking her head, "Let's look for a key now."
"Alright."

"This is horrible I can't find where the key goes. What that sound someone is talking?" I thought.

"Well I was fifteen or sixteen when I got this. I was in a jewelry store I wanted it so bad and then this young man stole it from the store." Mrs.Susan explained.
"Wow, did you know that my friend wanted a necklace and it's actually happening right now."
"Darling, I had no idea. You know me and my friends got together and tried to find and we found it on this land?" Mrs.Susan said.
"I had no clue, are you saying we should look here?" Elizabeth asked.
"Oh no. You can but you may not find it. I'm just telling you my story."
"Oh. Do you know who took it."
"No young lady. All I know I'd that his last name was Harrison."
"Whoa, we think this man named Cooper Harrison is the thief."
"You don't say, he actually lives not far from here. He and Kendale, his servant, don't get along that well sometimes. They are a little odd. Well more like suspicious."
"I saw them at the store the other day. She was talking about a solution."
The whole time Elizabeth knew what she was talking about she just wanted to get a little more info, if she could.
"Oh a solution. All they needed was glue, like I said more suspicious. It's more than just a regular glue its for wood and sometimes jewels." Mrs.Susan stated.

"Maybe I'll come back after I help Ellie and Roxy it has to have been an hour by now." I whispered running toward the girls.
Once I got through the thorns I went to where the girls were saying.
"Did you find it?" Roxy asked.
"Not yet." Ellie replied.
"What are you looking for?" I asked.
"A key." They said in unison.
"Want to try this one?" I said.
"You had one the whole time?" Ellie said angrily.
"No I just found it just go ahead and use it." I said throwing it in.
"Thanks Ashley." Roxy said trying on the door.
"Hey it a passageway! Ellie said.
" Let's follow it!" Roxy said.
"I'm coming down." I replied, "I have a rope."
"Good now we can get out." Ellie said.
"But after we go through the passageway."
"Alright then." I said as we entered the passageway.
