Atlas.
"Why did you put a hit on her?!" I say as I slam the door closed full of anger.
"Who is 'her' ?" A sarcastic chuckle leaving Antonio's mouth.
"You know damn well who the fuck I mean."
"You were getting distracted by your little whore, son" Antonio replied with an unfazed tone in his voice. He rested into his chair, lighting a cigarette. Bringing it to his mouth to get a few puffs every now and then.
Whore?! Did he really just call her a fucking whore?! Antonio's comment made me so fucking angry. Do you know how in cartoons they show smoke coming out of the character's ears? Yeah, that's me right now, fucking fuming.
"Distraits?! Voulez-vous voir distrait?!" [Distracted?! Do you want to see distracted?!]
I walk up to him, closing the distance between us. My face only a couple of inches from his.
"Listen pops, " I say as I bring the gun that was still in my right hand to my side, aiming for the glass on his table, while still keeping eye contact with Antonio. I shot without looking, making the glass of whiskey on his table fall and break. "You might have full control over me regarding the mafia, but my life outside of the mafia is none of your concern. Nada. [None]." I growl in his face.
I guess a little bit of Sage rubbed off on me when she speaks all this Spanish. The confused look on Antonio's face is definitely a win in my books. Maybe I should ask Dominic for Spanish lessons? He's fluent in Spanish and speaking Spanish would surely be in my favour.
My thoughts stopped when I heard a harsh noise coming from the doors. Probably the guards trying to come in after they heard the gunshot and the glass shattering. Stupid bastards. A smirk forms on my face as I turn around, now facing the door, waiting for them to come in.
"Sorry, we came as soon as-"
I shoot again, this time aiming at the two guards rushing in. The two bullets in their heads cutting them off midsentence. I turn back to Antonio, who is unamused, waiting for the right time to respond.
"Sit your ass down," Antonio commanded, as he pointed at one of his chairs in his office.
I take a seat on the chair he pointed at, complying with his commands.
Antonio stands up to grab a piece of glass from the floor and directs it to me. With his eyes closed, he throws it into the wall behind me, barely missing my face.
"Skills like this have to be perfected. Perfection comes from practice." He says as he walks to the wall, grabbing the piece of glass out of it.
"You can not perfect skill with distractions, son." He continues, sitting back down on his chair and plays with the piece of glass in his hands.
"She is not a distraction, damn it! Have you seen what I just did? My aim is good. What more do you want?!"
"Perfection. I want perfection. So until you're perfect, no. distractions." He gritted.
"What happened to the whole 'don't kill the innocent' rule, huh?! You put a fucking hit out on an innocent woman. Are you out of your damn mind?!"
"Do you 100% know that she's fully innocent? Stop questioning my authority Bressett. I'm the boss. Know your place and get back in line."
Disbelief circling my mind. Is Sage innocent? No Atlas, you've known each other since you were kids, of course, she's innocent. But she left for seven years without saying anything? No, she said it was out of her control. You have to trust her.
Wait. Where the hell did Antonio find out about Sage? The only people who knew about her were Tate and Dominic-
Dominic, that son of a bitch.
"You know what, fuck you and your authority. If another hit is put on Sage's head, I'll have your head personally." I say, walking out of the room not turning back to let Antonio reply.
Dominic better pray for his life when I find him.
-------------------------------------
Dominic.
I have no free time. I basically eat, sleep and train the whole day. So if I'm not eating or sleeping, I'm in the gym. Mistakes were made when I told this to Atlas because he now immediately finds me every time he wants to kill me. Now is one of those times.
"Dominic?!" He screams through the giant gym.
Fuck, fuck, fuck. What the hell do I do?
"Yes?" I answer nervously.
"Get your ass right here, or I'll make your death more painful than it already is going to be."
Shit. What did you do this time Dominic? Your mom must be disappointed. You are so fucking stupid and wayyy too young to die.
I walk to him. "Look Las, I don't have time for this today. I'm really busy with-"
"Shut. Up." He hissed, cutting me off.
"What?" I answered. Normally I'd already be dead right now, well not literally, but you know what I mean. This new version of Atlas is fucking scary. But hey, maybe he's improving! That's a good thing... right?
Just as I thought that, Atlas lunged on top of me, tackling me. His hands putting me in a chokehold.
Spoke too soon I guess.
"Why the hell did you tell Antonio about Sage?!" He snarls in my face.
"Yo bro, have you heard about the expression ' Bro's before hoe's '? Yeah, that's my reason."
"You stupid fucker." Atlas says as he punches me repeatedly in the face.
"Sage... "
Punch.
"Almost..."
Punch.
"Died... "
Punch.
"Because... "
Punch
"Of you." He grunts
Punch.
Just at that moment, my phone goes off. Thank god. I thought I was going to die for a second there.
I try to push Atlas off of me but he's fucking heavy. Goddamnit.
"Dude, my phone... is.... ringing... let me at... least pick... it up." I say in between more punches.
Atlas grudgingly got off of me, allowing me to answer my phone.
-------------------------
Atlas.
Dominic was lucky this time. Next time he won't be so lucky.
"Wait, sorry, could you repeat that?" I hear Nic's anxious voice say.
"What do you mean Tate has been stabbed?!"
