Jay
I waited until Kentrell left to pick up Cordae and sneak out the building. Once I had him in a comfortable position for me to carry him I walked out the back door and through the woods. He didn't say a word when this all happened. So I'm guessing he's sleep or just didn't wanna talk right now.
Cordae: "Jay?" I heard him whisper.
Jay: "Yea?" I replied as I kept moving around everything.
Cordae: "Where do we go from here?" He asked the question that made me cringe.
Jay: "To be honest I don't know. Nd that question right there was some white girl shit." I said making us both laugh.
But the sound of the sirens and the yelling cut us short. I than put Cordae down and told him to get on my back. He hesitated for a second but did as told and I ran with him on my back. I than looked for a cave deep enough to hide in but I couldn't find one. Then it started raining and the sound of dog could be heard in the background. But I kept running until I found a safe place for us to hide out.
I couldn't let anything happen to him. Not after what just happened, not after what I told him. I had to have a future with him, I wanted a future with him. So I wasn't bout to loose him to no punk bitch who only uses weapons to get what he wants. Not today, not to motherfukin day, Bing bong.
Cordae: "Jay, over there." He said pointing to a cave.
I nodded and headed towards the direction of the cave. But somehow I end up slipping as I enter the cave and fall face first. Which caused Cordae to immediately get up and help me up. He then checked for any bruises but I wasn't worried about me at the moment. I was worried about making it out alive with him in hand. I then grabbed him by the waist and pulled him toward me walking further into the cave as to not be seen. I than held his head to my chest so he can listen to my heartbeat and whispered into his ear.
Jay: "You have to be quite princess. We don't need to be caught ok?" I said and he nodded.
I than felt his arms wrap around my back and we stood in the cave like that until they were gone and away. Once they were far enough from where we were faced my back towards the cave walls and slid down it with Dad still in my arms. He let go and watched as I zone out and get into my head.
I started to think about what's been happening lately. How me and Mir killed Mr. and Mrs. Duston. How my mom is gonna have to find out but she probably already knows. How Nahmir has to be in hide away until the cops aren't on his tail no more or he turns himself in. How I might me and Nahmir have to turn ourselves in and imma have to leave Dae and my mama behind. This shit all happened way to fast and all I wanted was for Cordae was to be away from his abusive parents. All we wanted was for him to be ok.
While I was thinking I felt soft kisses on my lips and around my face. I then opened my eyes not realizing I had close them and noticed Cordae was kissing me. And that I had also has tears going down my eyes. He then sat on my lap and kissed my lips one last time and this time I kissed back and it was longer but I pulled back. He looked at me in disappointment and sadness I just kissed his forehead in return.
Jay: "We gon take it slow baby. There's no need to rush ok?" I asked.
Cordae: "But I-" he began.
Jay: "I'm not here to use you for just because your weak or nice. I'm not gonna make you feel uncomfortable like your ex's. Yes I know your still a virgin cause I was the one who kept you from losing it in the first place. But not to take advantage of you but to make sure they don't turn you into someone your not. In the end it was me who ended up turning you into a different person because I wanted you happy..... The only person who can choose to be happy is you and I was tryna force that upon you by killing your parents. We saw how that turned out and now look where we're at on a Friday afternoon." I said looking out the cave and at the rain.
