⚠️ TW: Violence, gore. ⚠️
Klaus got out of the car when he and Stefan got to a random house just outside of Mystic Falls, raising an eyebrow. Stefan drove. The two of them volunteered to go and talk to Kai so one else had to. "Nice house."
"Yeah, nice place, but the guy who lives here? Not so much." Stefan got out and locked the car, crossing his arms over his chest. "Fair warning about Kai? He plays mind games a lot. We all tend to avoid him after the situation a while back."
"So I recall." Klaus put on his leather jacket and looked over at Stefan. "Are you ready?"
"As ready as I'll ever be, I suppose." The duo approached the front door. Klaus moved his hand to knock but the door opened before he could.
There stood Kai Parker in the flesh. He looked older than the last Stefan saw, which was a while ago. He had a lot more muscle to him and definitely some facial hair. He raised an eyebrow at the two men and immediately went to shut the door, but Stefan stopped it, making him groan. "Jesus christ what is it now Stefan? What the hell do you all want? I've been leaving everyone alone, just like I said I would." He crossed his arms over his chest.
"Look, we need your help with something. You're the only other witch within miles of this place and we need all the help we can get." Stefan looked uncomfortable just being here.
"First off, hybrid here, not just a witch. Second off, fuck off." Kai went to shut the door again but Klaus spoke up.
"Wait. Please." Klaus sighed and looked at Kai. "It isn't so much a we and more of an I."
Kai raised an eyebrow and opened the door a little wider. "You're Klaus Mikaelson, right?"
"Yes."
"So the almighty Klaus Mikaelson in the flesh comes to finally grace my presence. Funny." Kai smirked a bit and crossed his arms again. "What would a Mikaelson need my help for exactly?"
"I know you're a powerful witch, Malachai. And I need as much power to get something back that was stolen from me."
"Something or someone?"
Klaus sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Someone. My fiancé. I hate to say this, but, please, I'm desperate." There was silence as he watched the wheels start to turn in Kai's head, and he was starting to sweat a bit. "I'll pay you as much as you want."
Kai's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Payment? Like, cash?"
"Cash, cars, houses, whatever you want." Klaus crossed his arms over his chest. "But I take it you have something else in mind."
Kai pursed his lips and shrugged. "Actually, no, not really. No payment necessary." He smirked at the men. "I just like seeing you squirm." The comment made Stefan and Klaus roll their eyes. "So, what do I need to do?"
"Can you come to the boarding house? It's better we talk there."
"Fine. Is like at 5 tomorrow okay? I'm busy tonight."
"You're busy? With what?" Stefan scoffed slightly.
"Believe it or not, at least I have a job to afford my house, thank you very much." He rolled his eyes.
"I hardly call Twitch streaming a job, Kai."
"It's paying my bills just fine, thank you." Kai rolled his eyes again and said he'd be there then shut the door.
Klaus gave Stefan a look as they made their way back to the car. "Well, that went well."

Cas was slightly delirious again as she laid on her back on the floor again. She was hearing voices again in her head. Then the hallucination started again. Of herself, again.
