⚠️ QUICK A/N: violence, flashbacks of abuse and drug use in this chapter, and very heavy steam as well. ⚠️
"The NYPD have officially declared yet another case of arson at the nightclub Ecstasy & Envy in Manhattan for the second time in four months. This time, however, the damage was irreparable, and the building was burnt down completely. A spokesperson for the club has given an official statement on behalf of the owner saying that the club will not be rebuilt, and that an investigation is ongoing into who caused the arson. NYDP reportedly believe that the arson was caused by a known benefactor of the club, but according to legal representatives they are unable to release a list of suspects. NYPD have also officially declared that the cause of the fire was a match lit and thrown onto the ground just after the entire building's interior and part of the exterior was doused in heavy amounts of gasoline. However, two questions remain prominently: how is the anonymous owner of the club dealing with all of this for a second time, and who indeed is the elusive owner? Several people report of a woman-"
"Turn it off. Please." Cas shook her head as she listened to the breaking news report on the 6 o'clock news beside her boyfriend on the couch, her head in her hands. She was wearing one of her boyfriend's comfy black sweaters over a white t-shirt and a pair of black leggings.
Kol was the one to sigh and turn off the television, everyone in the room looking at the blonde worriedly. Everyone was now aware of her situation in regards to her illegal business dealings as well as her owning the nightclub. It pissed off her family, but the Mikaelson siblings weren't surprised or even phased by the information.
It had been three days since her rescue and she was really going through it. Her anger levels were simmering at a dangerously high level that threatened to explode at any time, on any person, in any place, if they weren't careful.
Edward was the one to speak up. "So what's the plan?"
"I really wouldn't-" Klaus tried to stop him.
Cas answered coldly as she picked up her wine glass, "There isn't one." She had been very cold to everyone ever since her rescue. She was never left alone, but for once in her life she wanted to be.
"What do you mean there isn't a plan? You were kidnapped and now all of a sudden your business assets go up in flames, quite literally?!" Edward exclaimed loudly and threw his hands up.
"You better shut your mouth before I shut it for you, Ed."
"Darling I don't think-" Esme started before she was startled by Cas standing up and throwing the wine glass straight at the wall by her brother's head.
"Cas, what the fuck? Are you seriously going to-" Edward tried to start.
"Don't. Even. Try." Her eyes were red and filled with anger.
"Oh so you're just going to sit there and pout about everything then? Is that-" Edward was cut off when a loud slap echoed through the room. He held his cheek as he stared down at his littlest sister in shock.
Cas breathed heavily and quickly, her nostrils flaring as her anger grew even higher. Without her magic, her physical strength had increased significantly, along with her emotions magnified ten fold. She was like a newly turned vampire all over again. "You wanna try that again?" Her voice was low and her words filled with venom.
"Okay that's enough. Both of you." Elijah got up and stood between the two siblings.
"Oh it's more than enough from her-"
"You wanna say that again you son of a bitch?"
"Well maybe if you stop acting like a brat and at least try to come up with a plan instead of sulking around like a weak little-"
