"We really have to stop doing this."

"I didn't see you complaining last night. Or the night before that. Or last weekend. Or any other time before that."

"Go fuck yourself," the naked blonde muttered as she got up from his bed, stretching her arms over her head as well as her back.

"Sorry sweetheart, you already did," Klaus smirked and got up out of bed and slapped her ass with a chuckle.

This had been the cycle for the last month. Discuss business, fuck, try to be friends, repeat. It had been this way since she signed her contract a month ago. In fact, she was officially due to start as co-CEO of Mikaelson Enterprises's art and entertainment division in two days.

"Seriously, jackass?" Cas glared at him and smacked him in the back of the head. She always called him that. It was a line she always used on him lately.

"Oh, most definitely." If anyone else had done that to him, they'd be dead. But for some reason he allowed it as he admired her body as she got dressed, himself getting dressed in a plain black henley with matching colored jeans. "Any particular plans for the evening, love?"

"I wish I could just say no, but yes. My parents are throwing this super elaborate charity gala thing tonight." Cas rolled her eyes as she pulled on her bra and panties before pulling her clothes on from yesterday, a plain pair of blue jeans and a white v-neck t-shirt that she stole from Karoline because it was comfy. "I'm surprised you didn't know about it."

"Actually, I did. Just wanted to make you squirm a bit," he smirked at her as he held up the elaborate invitation Dr. and Mrs. Cullen had sent nearly a week ago.

"Oh. Awesome."

He rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "Relax, sweetheart. It's not like anyone else knows we're casually fucking besides your sister and my siblings."

"Yeah, well, let's keep it that way," she growled out at him and shook her head as she threw her hair up into a messy bun. "I guess I'll see you tonight then."

"Yes you will."

She left his penthouse with another roll of her eyes, hearing him chuckle behind her.

Cas stood a bit out of place beside her other family members with a glass of champagne in her hand as they greeted guests.

The gala itself was held at a gorgeous vineyard in the Hamptons in the style of those over in Italy and France with gorgeous columns, high ceilings, and vines of ivy wrapped around everywhere. The golden glow of the lights gave it a calming atmosphere. All the proceeds going to cancer research.

The short blonde was the only one without a significant other on their arm. Hell even Karoline had brought Elijah as her date. She shook her head and sipped on the glass, a small breeze making her gorgeous, flowing, red dress fly a bit behind her. "This is nothing but misery. Is this what Hell is like?" she muttered to Karoline who was standing beside her.

"Relax, Cas. Just stand there, shake hands, smile, look pretty, and then you can go get drunk as usual," Karoline muttered back to her.

"Why did I even agree to this?"

"Well to be fair you didn't. It was just kind of expected you be here."

"Yeah well, don't expect it to happen again."

"Will you two stop bickering already?" Jasper muttered to his two sisters.

"No," both the brunette and the blonde responded at the same.
