He didn't remember falling asleep, that means it had to have been easy for him right? It sure as hell wasn't hard for him to wake back up though. Fuck. He laid there and stared out into the dark room mad that he'd woken up. It was only 1 so he hadn't even been asleep for more than 3 hours. He shifted in his bed and felt a body laying next to him. He turned around to find that Dre had decided to just crawl into bed with him. He didn't mind. It was actually kinda nice to have someone sleeping next to him for once. It had been a while. Dre was lying down on his stomach his his hands crossed under his head. Marsh moved close enough to lie his head gently against Dre's bicep. His eyelids felt heavy and he didn't dare try to stop them from closing. He was quickly pulled back into a light sleep but was interrupted when Dre pulled his arm back. Whatever. He could get comfortable another way. He shifted his sleeping position and got comfortable again while lying similar to the way Dre had just been. Chills suddenly came over him again. Dre laid just partially on top of him so that he could rub his back while half asleep. He smiled to himself. It was funny. Dre would rub his back for a little bit, slow down until he stopped and fell asleep, then wake back up and do it again.

"Andre."

"Hm?"

"You don't have to keep doing that."

"Hm."

Marsh chuckled to himself as Dre kept gliding his fingers down his back. There was no way in hell Dre was awake enough to have actually heard him. He woke back up a couple of times through the night but went right back to sleep each time. All Dre had to do was snuggle close to him and he'd pass out. He woke up in the morning to his friend carefully attempting to get up without waking him. The second Dre left his side his body told him to wake up. He laid there for a second and let himself fully wake up before getting up to figure out where Dre had gone. He found him heading towards the front door of the guest house.

"Going back to your place?"

"Yeah I was gonna get changed before I came to wake you up."

"Well im up." He said with a yawn "What are we getting in to?"

"Shit the only type of workout we can do with your little hurt ass."

As much as Marshall hated having to do the same type of easy workout every day he was glad that he was getting to rest his ankle. Had he been on tour he'd be forced to go run around on stage and hurt it worse. But here he could sit down and do shit that didn't involve putting any weight on it. Recently though Dre had been incorporating some routines that work his ankle but not enough to damage it. Just enough to build the muscle back up and help the healing. Dre also had him soaking his feet in ice baths to try to speed up the healing process and help with the pain. He usually would be about half asleep while soaking his feet, despite the freezing temperatures, but this time he didn't. He was still tired but not like he had been recently.

"Hey Dre."

"Break?"

"No I'm good. I was just thinking about last night."

"The jacuzzi session?"

"Nah you sleeping with me. I think that shit really helped."

"Oh yeah?" Dre smiled "Well, whatever we gotta do right?"

He didn't want to risk jinxing his new found discovery of being able to sleep as long as Dre was with him so he kept it a secret for now. He didn't tell his therapist or anyone else at Promises about it but he did tell them about his seizure. He didn't want to but he had to. As soon as the words came out his mouth he realized it could jeopardize his chances of leaving any time soon. The head counselor must have read the look on his face because she assured him right after that it wouldn't affect his release date. Instead they would just be evaluating to see if he needed to up his dose for a day so he could get some sleep. He didn't need an increase in doses now that he had Dre sleeping with him but they didn't know that. He'd tell them later when he was sure that he was getting enough rest from it.
