All Rebekah could worry about was her song. She knew that this song was important. It was good. It wasn't something she could just give up on. She didn't know why or how, but she needed to finish this song because it would be the song that changed everything.

But she just couldn't get it finished, no matter how hard she tried. And now she had decided to lock herself in her room, refusing to come out for any reason other than school, until the song was finished. She had been doing this for a week.

"Bekah," said a soft voice. Rebekah turned around to see Rachel carrying a plate of food. "I brought you dinner. How's it coming?"

"I still haven't gotten that spark yet. I've written plenty of lyrics, but none of them are quite right."

"Alright," she set the plate on Rebekah's nightstand, then hugged her. "Good luck."

After she was sure Rachel was gone, she looked down at her food. Lasagna. She sighed and opened her bedroom window.

"Theo!" She called. "Come here, boy!" And up walked the family's black lab, tail wagging. Rebekah dumped the plate out the window. As she did, she could feel her stomach growl, but she ignored the dull pain.
