"Fresh mint," Hadrian said when he was in front of the Headmaster's office. While he was on the way to the said room earlier, he was working on tightening his mental shield. The Black family library has been a great help to him when he was searching about mind magic. Of course, his Horcrux was also giving tiny bits of information when he couldn't understand something. His protection can come in handy especially right now. Who knows what the Old fool would do once Hadrian was inside his office.
When the Gargoyle revealed the entrance to the office, Hadrian stepped inside. He knocked on the door and waited until he heard the Headmaster's voice. Once he's inside, he looks around and manages to hide a frown when he sees the whole room in Gryffindor red. Sure, red is a pretty color but imagine surrounding your entire office by it. He also saw the Headmaster on his chair with a piece of parchment in his hand. The half-moon specs of the man seemed to sparkle when he raised his head to look at him. Hadrian faced the Headmaster and tightened his mental shield while trying not to look in the Old man's eyes.
"Harry, my boy. Come, sit whenever you like. How are you? I hope you found your days in Hogwarts fine," Albus said as he looked at the boy in front of him. The boy isn't what he supposed to be and it pushes him to his bone. After years of hard work and solid planning, his plan was starting to fall and it's because of him! Hadn't he told his relatives to beat the freakishness out of him so he could be a submissive creature?
"It's fine, Headmaster. Though it's only our second day today, everything seems to go smoothly."
"Yes, I know. Minerva told me that you managed to answer all of her questions without any fail. I had to admit that I was quite surprised when I heard that, I thought that you don't know about the wizarding world but clearly, I was wrong." Hadrian hid his grimace. Really? Did he really think that he would reveal everything to him just because he's the Headmaster? He should have known that Slytherins aren't easy to fool!
"Yes, that is true. However, my Aunt told me portions of it and in fact she was the one who transported me on the Diagon Alley. Sadly, she only told me little about this world and left me there with some pounds. She told me that I can find my way home once I'm done and left me there. Not that I have anything against her, I quite enjoy my time visiting shops alone." Hadrian shrugged as he said it. A great way to lie is to put some truths inside it. That way, only half of your statement is false and the other true.
"Alone? Isn't that a little dangerous for you to roam around the Diagon Alley by yourself especially given your identity? Oh, if only I could send Hagrid to come and fetch you that day!"
"Hagrid?" Hadrian asked, confused. So that's how the Old man would tell him about the Philosopher's stone. Hah, does he really think that he would fall for it? Dumb.
"The gatekeeper of Hogwarts of course! He's that tall man that led you on your first day here at school. I actually asked him to fetch something important from Gringotts for me since I suspect that someone would like to get it."
"Something? I read that Gringotts are the safest place in the wizarding world!" Hadrian said, faking some enthusiasm on his voice and face.
"Yes, of course, Gringotts are the safest place alongside Hogwarts."
"Hogwarts? Do you mean that-" Hadrian widened his eyes but did not continue his speech. Dumbledore smirked and placed his point finger on his lips and winked at him. Urgh, disgusting.
"Now, onto the serious matter. I hope you are quite well in Slytherin? They aren't being hard on you are they, given the fact that you are a half-blood and all?" Hadrian visibly frowned. Is that really what he thinks the Slytherin do? Maybe some might be like that but not all Slytherins are evil!
