"Harrison," Draco called his cousin. They are currently inside Hdrian's room and are reading some of the Dark Lord's books. Hadrian was laying on his bed while reading a dark book, Blaise and Pansy were on the window looking over the merpeople swimming on the Black Lake. Hadrian hummed and looked at his cousin.
"I was still wondering though, you were nothing like everyone else expected you to be. I heard you were raised by muggles, but at your looks and moves, you looked like you were raised by pureblood families." Hadrian stared at him and blinked. He sighed and sat up.
"Yes, I was raised by my muggle relatives. They were not the nicest people around there, they treated me worse than a House-elf." Hadrian saw his friends winced, "They make me cook at the age of 4 and would beat the shit out of me if I burned the food. I was making all of the chores and dear Dudley--my cousin--was not even doing anything."
Hadrian saw his friends straightened their back as they listened to him. Hadrian was sure they were trustworthy. Plus, the wards of his room were preventing anyone, except those registered, to reveal anything they talked about inside. Tom was that paranoid, and it did gain him something. Maybe being smart really is nice, especially Tom. The man literally had every subject he took with straight O's ever since he studied at Hogwarts.
"It was just this year, when I received my letter, that I knew I was a wizard. I never knew about my parents except they died in a car accident when I was a baby. They told me that it is where I had this scar. When I received my letter, I tried talking with my Aunt about magic and what she knew about it. She refused to tell me anything though, but told me that I'll go find it myself. So that's what I did. I went to Diagon Alley by myself and Auntie told me to go to the bank so I can get some money. That's when I know about my vaults. When I returned home, they still treated me like shit so I decided to make a deal with them. I will give them money every month I stay with them in exchange for permission and things I need. Also, you see that shelf over there?" Hadrian pointed at the shelf in front of Tom's.
"All of that book inside is mine, I brought them when I first visited the Diagon. I already read almost half of them ever since I knew I was a wizard. It is actually hard to become something you aren't, you know? Everybody expected me to be a Lion but I know I am a Snake. I practiced magic outside of our house since when my muggle family saw me using it, they will beat the hell out of me. I practiced without my wand since it has the trace. I read and read about the Wizarding World. That is one of many reasons why I know a lot about the old ways. That, and the fact that I have the whole Black Family Library at my disposal." And my future knowledge about your world, pretty convenient huh.
"Yeah, you're right. Why do you need to please others when you are yourself. Just tell them to fuck off and mind their own business," Pansy agreed as he sat on Hadrin's bed, facing him. Hadrian smiled, he never thought that he would like Pansy, yet here he is.
"It was kind of entertaining to watch though, as they kept on telling you that you're a Gryffindor."
"Take Weasley for example," Draco said and all of them snorted.
It was the end of Transfiguration when Ronald decided to confront Hadrian. The red-haired boy kept on looking at him and his friends as McGonagall lectured earlier. Hadrian can also feel almost all of the Gryffindor's eyes on him. Hadrian shoved it off as he answered some questions asked on them. So far, he already gained 70 points for Slytherin; it was only Monday morning. To say that Hermione was pissed is an understatement.
As the group arranged their stuff and shoved it in their bag, they left the room. Ronald managed to stop them and placed his arm around Hadrian. The pissed off Prince pushed him as the boy back away. Hadrian flicked his shoulder and casted a cleaning charm on it. His friends stand in front of him with their wands drawn out.
