Uraraka's ruthless alarm let out its ear-splitting sound, waking her up immediately. Her brown eyes fluttered before staying open. She tiredly got up out of her old sheets and walked across the room and to her dresser, pressing the large button on top to deactivate it. She stared into the dusty mirror above her dresser and rubbed her eyes.
"Jeez! It's already 7:30! I slept past all my other alarms already? I shouldn't have stayed up that late studying last night." Uraraka said as her eyes drifted to the clock. She hurriedly changed into her school uniform and rushed into the kitchen. It was already 8:00 by the time she was done.
"Good morning, sweetie! Here, why don't you eat a little something before you head off to school." Her mother pushed a plate with toast and some eggs to her. Uraraka sat at one of the stools at her kitchen counter. 'I guess I still have some time before I have to leave." Uraraka thought as she plunged the fork into the eggs. When she finished eating, it was already 8:15. 'Gah! Time is passing so fast this morning!' Uraraka hurried out of the stool and placed the plate into the sink.
"Bye Mom! I gotta head to school. I don't wanna be late!" Uraraka gave her mother a quick hug before she made her way to the door.
"Bye Honey! Have a good day at school!" Her Mom said as Uraraka rushed out the door. Being late is so embarrassing, she didn't want to risk it.
When she made her way to the gates of U.A. High School, she saw a green-haired head in the distance. Uraraka smiled.
"Deku! Wait up!" She called out. The green-haired boy turned around and his piercing green eyes looked back at her. A smile grew across his face as he saw her. He started to jog toward Uraraka as well.
"H-hi Uraraka!" He said when they came together. A light pink grew on his cheeks. "How are y-you doing this morning?" He asked, grinning.
Uraraka flushed. She broke eye contact. "O-oh, I'm fine, thank you for asking." Uraraka fidgeted and looked at her shoes. An awkward silence developed between them. Deku cleared his throat.
"U-um, well...anyway, we should p-probably head to class now!" He announced. Uraraka looked back up at Deku.
"Yeah, you're right! Let's go together, then!" Uraraka clapped her hands as she talked. She was getting excited about all this. She had walked to class with Deku before, but then, it was with others, never alone. This time was different. Deku smiled and nodded.
Deku and Uraraka began walking towards the large door together. As they walked, their fingertips grazed. Uraraka panicked when Deku grabbed her hand. She quickly stole a glance at Deku, and saw that he looked just as nervous as she did. She took a deep breath. She slowly began to intertwine their fingers. They looked at each other, their faces both scarlet. Uraraka stepped closer to Deku. They both cracked small smiles. When they finally reached the classroom, they reluctantly let go of each other's hand. Without another word, they walked into class and took their seats on opposite sides of the classroom.
Uraraka released a large breath.'I can't believe that just happened, I can't believe that just happened, I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT JUST HAPPENED!!!' Uraraka's mind raced as she sat at her desk, waiting for the bell to ring. When it finally did, Uraraka felt weirdly relieved. Aizawa walked in the room with a stack of papers. The entire class, including Uraraka, groaned before Aizawa even said anything.
"Good morning, class. Today, we will be taking written tests. Once you all get the sheets, you have an hour. Good luck." Aizawa announced. The class groaned once again. Uraraka was reminded of the test once again. 'Good thing I studied last night.' She thought, her emotions a mix of relief and disdain. As the papers were passed around, Uraraka racked her brain for anything that she could remember from her 5-hour study session from the night before. She gathered her thoughts before beginning the test sheet infront of her.
The hour had almost finished when Uraraka finally turned the paper in. Unsurprisingly, Iida had turned in his test first, with Yaoyorozu finishing only minutes after. When Uraraka placed the sheet on Aizawa's desk, a wave of relief washed over Uraraka's body. After about ten more minutes, everybody had been done with the test.
"Thank you everyone, now, I will allow a rest period until lunch. Talk amongst yourselves, do whatever, just don't wake me up from my nap." Aizawa collapsed onto the floor in his yellow sleeping bag, and was sleeping immediately. The rest of the class didn't hesitate to move their seats to where their friends were. Uraraka was about to get up to talk to Tsuyu, when a body appeared at her desk.Uraraka looked up to see Deku standing there, holding a chair
"Ah, hi Deku!" Uraraka said with a smile. He placed the chair down beside Uraraka and sat in it.
"U-um...Uraraka? There's...something I need to ask you..." He said, staring at his feet. Uraraka gave him a curious look. "Uraraka...will you...meet me at the f-fountain after school t-today?" His voice quivered as he talked and his cheeks grew pink as he reached the end of his sentence. Uraraka smiled.
"Deku...of course I'll meet you there. I'm...looking forward to it." She responded. The two stayed there looking at each other for a moment. Deku grabbed both of Uraraka's hands this time. His hands were scarred, but Uraraka didn't mind. Uraraka scooted closer to Deku in her chair. Deku put an arm around Uraraka and Uraraka rested her head on Deku's shoulder. She closed her eyes, satisfied with the situation.
