Uraraka's eyes widened. She was in complete disbelief. No. That wasn't right. Deku couldn't be missing. He couldn't be. There was no way.

"He's...missing?" Uraraka's voice cracked and quivered as she spoke. "W-what do you mean 'He's missing'?" Uraraka's hands began to shake. Tears formed at the corners of her eyes. Inko sniffeld.

"Well...yesterday, he left for school. He said that he might be coming home a bit later than usual. I didn't think anything of it, but....when he didn't come back home that night, I panicked. I called him, I texted him, but...he never answered. After that I went to sleep. But when he wasn't in his bed in the morning, I...called the police." Inko finished. Uraraka's hand went up to cover her mouth. Her knees went weak, and before she knew it, she had fallen to her knees. The tears streamed down her cheeks. Her mom rushed over to comfort her, but Uraraka didn't react.

"I'm gonna find you." Uraraka whispered. She repeated it in her mind. She sat on the floor for a couple minutes in complete shock, until, without another word, she got up and walked to her bedroom. She laid down in her bed, barely breathing. The only thing she could muster up were tears. She cried for hours in her bed. She just laid there, shaking. She didn't get any homework done, but she didn't care. The only thing that she cared about anymore was finding Deku.

"I'm gonna find you."

She cried herself to sleep that night, and when she woke up again, the thought immediately hit her. 'Deku is missing.' But she didn't have enough energy to cry. She used it all up last night. And when she got ready for school that morning, she only did the bare minimum. She didn't even eat. Or brush her hair. She was so lost in thought that morning that she forgot.

The rest of the day wasn't much better. She couldn't pay attention in her classes. She didn't talk to anyone, even when they tried to initiate a conversation with her, she just kept walking. Well, that was until she was about to leave at the end of the day.

"Hold it right there!" A voice in front of her said. Uraraka slowly looked up to see a worried-looking Mina. "Why have you been ignoring everybody today? Is something wrong?" Mina's question triggered a million memories she would have rather forgotten, at least for the time being. Her eyes grew wide before Uraraka broke down in a crying mess. Mina gasped. "Oh my God! Uraraka, are you okay?" Mina said as she also dropped to her knees. Uraraka felt all the eyes of the other passing students on her.

"Deku...is missing." Uraraka finally answered. Gasps and whispers fell throughout the whole passing group, all of whom had been stopped in their tracks. Uraraka looked at Mina. Her yellow pupils became small.

"...What do you mean?" Mina asked. The tone in her voice sounded like she thought that it was a joke taken too far.

"I mean that Deku is missing. He didn't go back home last night and he wasn't at home this morning. He isn't answering any texts or calls. He's missing." Uraraka had to squeeze the words out of her. She didn't want to admit that Deku was missing. But she had to do it sometime.

"Oh...my God. That's...that's horrible." It seemed like that was the only that she could say. "When did you find out?" Mina asked.

"Last night." Uraraka answered bluntly. She didn't have the willpower to explain anymore. She just wanted to go home. Mina took Uraraka by the shoulders.

"Do you want me to help you home?" The way she said it sounded more like a statement then a question, but Uraraka nodded her head anyway. Mina helped Uraraka up and put her arm around her shoulder as they walked.
