The Purpose? (Naruto Accused And Neglected Fanfic)

Ch-11

Neji was sitting in waranda of Hinata's house, thinking how horrible past few days have been for him when he heard a knock on the door. When Neji went to answer the door he saw Menma standing before him with a box in his hands. "Good morning Neji" said Menma. "Oh Goodmorning come in come in" said Neji as both of them went inside the house and sat on the chair. "So..why a sudden visit?" Asked Neji. "Just came to visit Hinata...hope she is fine" said Menma with a sad look, "here! these are cinnamon rolls for Hinata....its her favorite right". "Hai hai thank you for this she would love it." Answered Neji with a smile. "Soo...how is she?" Asked Menma. "Well she is recovering slowly from this but I hope she is ready for tomorrow's day" replied Neji. "Hmmm...tomorrow. right.
Father should have never assigned us that mission....we would never atleast see this day" said Menma as he went through a flashback.

Flashback 5 years ago.

In Hokage office.
Menma , Narumi and everyone in their group were standing in front of Minato in the Hokage office as they were being assigned a new mission.
"Everyone, today I am assigning you all a very critical mission. This mission is very long....longer than any mission, it may even take five to six years.It's a sort of spying mission...a mission only you guys can do" said Minato. " what is it Hokage-sama?" Asked Kiba. "You all have to take my son Naruto in your group and keep a check on him....pretend to be his friends and try to ask him about his secrets and his moves" said Minato. "But Tou-san why are you giving us such mission?" Asked Narumi."Yes , why do you want to check his moves Hokage-sama?" Asked Sasuke. "I suspect that....he is the one who stole the Forbidden jutsus scroll" said Minato. Everyone's eye widened as they heard their Hokage say more about the mission. "So you guy's mission is to keep a check on Naruto and see if he uses any of the Forbidden jutsus". "Hai!!" Replied everyone.

Flashback ended.

"Though we accept this mission to pretend to be Naruto's friend but slowly we actually started to accept him as our friend" Said Neji in a low tone. "I can't believe he would do something like that. He has a sister but still did something like that to other's sister...its shameful to even call him as my brother." Said Menma. "Leave it now Menma, no one ever thought he would fall this down....and don't feel shame for him he is no longer your brother now remember?" Said Neji. Both talked like that for hours about their past memories of Naruto and tomorrow's day when everyone of their friend would be present in the court.

Naruto was still hanging in his cell. For a whole day he has been hanging. He was not able to sleep last night because of his condition. In his half asleep condition he saw a group of four people with interrogation teams band on them coming inside his cell. One of them used a jutsu and created a ice slab below him and other undid the rope of his hands and made him land on ground. "I-i want to sleep...let me sleep please" said Naruto in low weak voice. "Oh yes yes why not you can sleep" said a person. As Naruto started to take position to sleep on the floor he was interrupted. " oye oye, sleep on this ice slab" said second person in commanding voice. Naruto stared the floor for a few seconds and the cell went silent. Soon he was grabbed by the other two person and was forced to lay on the ice slab, his hands and legs were tied to four chains.
Naruto let a deep sigh and prepared himself for whatever was coming next. His body was already shivering due to cold. "Now see how you will vomit everything you did" said one of the person from the interrogation team and started to hit Naruto with a hot rod.

Though Naruto was ready for this but as soon as he received the first hit he let out a very loud scream. "Ahhhhh!!!" it was far more painful than he imagined.
"Stopp...please Stop I didn't do anything
I-I didn't do.." said Naruto in a descending voice tone but his cry for mercy seemed to be unheard as he was brutally hit again and again and again...

It took 45 minutes for ice slab to melt, for Naruto to go through hell. Naruto was hanging horizontally over the floor below which was pool of light red liquid which was actually his blood mixed with melted water. In many instances Naruto felt to just give up and accept the false to end this pain but he didn't,
He endured his pain. "You are the first one to go through this torture and still not accept anything....but don't worry we have more painful tortures than this " said one the person. He was released from the chains as he fell on his own pool of blood. On every strike he could feel his bones crack....'looks like my right leg is done' thought Naruto as he could feel that he could no more control his right leg. During the torture he got a blow on lower thigh which hurt him so much that it made him almost give up. He felt his eyes slowly getting heavy, 'Am I dying? No I can't die a purposeless death. After all, I have to support Menma and Narumi in upcoming disaster .....its then when I will die, a death fit for a shinobi' thought Naruto and then he fainted.

In Namikaze house.

Both Minato and Kushina were sitting in their bedroom with Kushina crying on Minato's shoulder as Minato patted her head. "Why Minato? Why did he turn out to be like this? Did we lacked in teaching manners and respect to our child, is this caused becaues we didn't pay much attention to him?" Kushina cried and cried and showered Minato with one sided questions. "You know Kushina, I thought that it was Naruto who stole the Forbidden jutsu scroll five years ago" said Minato. Kushina stopped crying as she paid attention to Minato's words. "I thought that if he had stolen the scroll then he might try to learn them....I tried to place my little hopes on him, though it was wrong to steal them, if he learned any of them then he might be on par NO...more capable shinobi than anyone out there. You know how difficult it is to learn any of them. I gave Naruto a chance. I knew he won't use or show those jutsus to me so I assigned Menma and his friends to keep a check on him if he uses any of them. If he did then that would be a really proud day for me. But...he never used them that means he didn't steal them or he did steal them but was unable to learn them. It was me Kushina...it was me who gave Menma and his friends this mission and become his friends. This day we are seeing, this is because of me" said Minato as he shared some tears with his wife.
