Ch-23

In Akatsuki Hideout.

"Only two more stones to go...now I can improve the powers of white Zetsus that I have been cultivating for years." said Toneri as he placed three of the stones inside a mouth-like wooden holder. "Yeah, but it won't be easy...one of the stone is in Konohagakure while the other is in Sunagakure" said Zetsu. "That's not a big deal. The problem is that as we steal their stones the villages get free from their restrictions and advances. In these two days Obito and Kisame had faced more than seven teams, gradually they are getting more info on us." Said Toneri. "Hmm..if we attack Konoha right now and take the stone they will form a team and join forces with other three nations to protect Sunagakure and attack us simultaneously. Same will happen if we attack Suna first. Both the ways we will be facing huge army against us....I fear even Naruto could defeat an allied force" said Zetsu. "That leaves us with only one option....we will attack both Konoha and Suna at the same time" said Toneri with an evil smile.

"At the same time?" asked Zetsu. "Yeah at the same time. I will send Naruto to get the stone from Konoha and Obito and Kisame to get the stone from Sunagakure." Said Toneri. "I think you shouldn't send Naruto to Konoha" said Zetsu as he moved towards the exit of the cave, "it is certain that if Naruto fights Konoha then his indentity will be revealed at some point of time....Konoha is not a weak village where Naruto can just walk out easily, also Konoha has all it's shinobis in the village...even the three legendary sannins, Itachi, Shisui and Konoha 13. Revealing our trump card so soon isn't a wise decision."  "Ok even if we switch the roles....do you think Obito and Kisame would be able to get the stone from Konoha?" asked Toneri. "All we need is a stone, so the attack must be sneaky and planned. They already know about Kisame so no worries of his identity to be compromised, and Obito.....well he is quite powerful himself, enough to atleast hold for few ten minutes till Kisame gets the stone."said Zetsu. "Fine then, I will leave the planning to you and on other hand Naruto....well he doesn't needs to be sneaky does he?" Laughed Toneri as he went deep inside the cave.

In Konohagakure.

It's been days since Konoha has been continuously improving their defence. The streets of Konoha are not the same they used to be, Konoha was living under a continuous pressure of an attack that could happen at any point. Evacuation and Medication facilities have been improved drastically.

In Hyuga Mansion

Hinata was reading a book on different gentle fist techniques, everyday Neji and Hinata would spar with each other so that next time they would definitely defeat the blonde akatsuki. She then turned over a page while looking at her watch, 'it's time, Neji nii-san would be coming any minute' thought Hinata as she pulled the drawer to keep her book.
Her eyes then caught a glimpse of a red thread folded nicely in the bottom of the drawer. She took the scarf in her hands and caressed it gently with teary eyes. "Hinata are you rea-" said Neji as he opened the door but stopped in his tracks when he saw Hinata flinch as she kept something in the drawer wiping her tears."What was that Hinata?" said Neji as he rushed towards the drawer and opened it. "Oh so this is it" said Neji as he took out the scarf, "I thought you forgot him". "Even I thought I forgot him...but whenever there's a talk about him I can't help but remember him" said Hinata. "Just throw it away, the more you think about him the more it will hurt" said Neji. "This is the scarf which he gave me when we were small, I still remember....."H-hinata-C-chan I got this scarf for you h-hope you like it" said Naruto blushing as he gave the scarf to Hinata. "He was so bright back then, what could have turned him like that" said Hinata as she kept the scarf back in the drawer. "You still keeping it?" asked Neji. "Yeah, this is the only memory the good Naruto of the past" replied Hinata. "Do whatever you want, meet me in the training ground in one minute" said Neji as he left.

In Sunagakure.
Night time.

The situation in Suna was same as that in Konoha. For few days Suna has been improving their not only defense but are also figuring out a way to defeat the blond akatsuki, they were certain that it would be the blond akatsuki who would attack them. "Do you think we would be able to defeat the blond akatsuki?" asked a shinobi to his comrades who were sitting at the border around the camp fire. "Offcourse, Gaara-sama will defeat him" said the other shinobi. "But I heard that even Raikage-sama and Ohnoki-sama couldn't defeat him" said the shinobi in fear. "Because they all are old geezers now, maybe they lacked in power due to their age" said one of the shinobi. "What if Gaara-sama couldn't defeat him? Then what will we do?" asked the same shinobi again. "Then you are there to defeat him right. Any more questions Mr. Question bank?" asked a shinobi. "Yes I have one" said a deep voice as he kept a hand on the shinobi. As the shinobi turned behind his eyes met with red pupil-less ones,"Where is the stone?".
