The Purpose? (Naruto Accused And Neglected Fanfic)

Ch-13

It was night time. News of Naruto finally accepting his crime was spread all over the village. There were whispers every corners. Everyone were happy that finally the justice will be served.

"Hinata!!" Screamed Neji as he dashed into Hinata's room where he saw Ino, Sakura and Tenten along with her. "Nii-san?" Asked Hinata as a small smile was plastered on Neji's face. "Hinata he...he finally accepted it. We won, justice will be served Hinata. The court will be held today itself in three hours and then the judgement will be passed." Said Neji. "So he accepted" said Hinata in low voice. "Yes, he had to do it. Truth can't hide for long." Said Neji and with that he left the room. "Don't feel sad for him Hinata he doesn't deserve it" said Sakura as she kept her hand on Hinata's shoulder to ease her. "I am not sad for Sakura, just one thing that makes me feel bad is that I ever loved him" said Hinata.

In Namikaze house.

"He accepted it Kushina. Court will be held in three hours and then judgment will be made." Said Minato. Kushina's heart dropped. She slowly sat on a chair  nearby and asked , "soo...what will be his punishment?". "For the crime he has committed, no doubt that he will be hanged." Replied Minato. Kushina started crying after listening this as Minato tried to calm her down, "Don't cry Kushina, this day was inevitable. We need to be strong, we have Menma and Narumi with us. They have to go through a lot in the future. We have to be strong...atleast for them". Kushina nodded slowly and hugged Minato tightly and they both stayed like that for some time.

Naruto was sitting quietly in his cell. Staring at his ceiling fan , as every second passed his death was coming closer to him. He had only three hours, usually three hours was not a big deal to pass for him as he would just train for three hours but today every second felt like minute, every minute felt like hour. 'Lets take a quick nap, I don't have anything important left anyways..' thought Naruto as he closed his eyes. Naruto had already accepted his death. For him there was no way out.

After 3 hours.

Naruto was walking his way to the court with guards around him. He noticed something different today. The usual busy Konoha streets were silent today. As he reached the court he saw a very huge crowd outside the it. "Looks like whole village has come today" said one of the guard. Soon Naruto entered the court and reached his suspect box, he could see every single eye staring at him. His friends, his parents, his siblings. "We were informed that you have accepted your crimes in the jail and intended to say the truth in the court, is it true Naruto? Do you accept that you are the one who tried to rape Hinata that day?" Asked Tsunade.

Everyone's eyes were on him. The court went silent to listen to Naruto's words.
Naruto took a deep breath as he prepared to say his words, "Yes I was the one who tried to rape Hinata-san that day" said Naruto with a stoic expression. Neji clenched his fist as he heard Naruto speak, Minato and Kushina were embarrassed, Menma and Narumi were beyond angry as they gritted their teeth and Hinata had tears in her eyes. "Why did you do such a shameful act, didn't you think how your parents would feel when they come to know this" screamed Kushina while crying. Naruto had already gone beyond this now, even though every word hurt him....he had to say this, he has to accept a crime which he never did. He looked at his mother and got sad by seeing her state. "Why did I do huh....well there was no particular reason, I should have never ran that day, That run ruined my life,That day I saw her and had a sudden upsurge of desire within me..as a result I tried to rape her" said Naruto with a hoarse voice. He had already prepared his confession in the jail. He practiced and practiced his words in the jail itself so he would not cry in between or stumble in between in the court. Everyone looked at him in disgusted manner. Kushina rushed out of the court crying as she couldn't take more of it followed by Minato. "Shameless monster look what you have done" screamed Narumi with tears in her eyes as she rushed out of the court to check her mother. Menma was just sitting there with his head down, he wanted to say a lot but was unable to speak his thoughts like someone has kept a stone on his throat.

Loud sobs of Hinata were heard in the court, everyone whispers were heard and Naruto.....well Naruto was just looking at Tsunade as if he was saying,
'Just free me out of this now'. "Disgusting!!, a monster like him should be hanged or executed publicly " screamed Hiashi and everyone started to agree him. "Silence in the court please, Naruto you have committed a crime that had never happened in Konoha's history. So Naruto, for attempting to rape Hyuga Hinata you will be hanged to death" ordered Tsunade. "Wait Tsunade...you are doing a mistake" said Jiraiya. The court went silent again to listen the toad sannin's words. "What happened Jiraiya?" Asked Orochimaru. "You see Naruto is not 18 yet, he is 16 so he can't be given death as a punishment." Replied Jiraiya. "I see, hmm... that's true he can't be hanged."
Said Orochimaru. "So that remains with only one punishment for him, 5 years to be imprisoned in the hole" said Jiraiya. Everyone seemed to be unsatisfied with the judgement made.
"But that will be too low as a punishment by considering the crime he has done. For everyone to understand the severity of the crime we have to take some harsh measures" said Tsunade to which everyone agreed.

Naruto was just listening to the conversation and was waiting for his punishment but suddenly his ears perked when he heard a familiar word.
"Public torture. That can be given as a additional punishment for people of the village to understand why not to comit such a crime." Said Orochimaru . "So Naruto, as a punishment for crime you have committed you will imprisoned in hole for next 5 years and also will face one hour of public torture tomorrow in the morning at 6." Said Tsunade as she banged the hammer on the desk and passed the judgement. Everyone started to depart from the court. Public consisted of mixed expressions, some where satisfied by the judgement while some where not, though in the end everyone were happy that the DIRTIEST CASE of Konoha has finally come to an end.

Naruto let a sigh escape his mouth as he thought , 'seems that for what I accepted the crime has come round staright at me again'.

In the Uchiha House.

"Public torture must be painful right Nii-san?" asked Sasuke with concern.
"Painful?? I heard that it's Ibiki who will be the torturer. If it's Ibiki then it would be like hell." Replied Itachi. "Are everyone going to be present to see the torture? Isn't it too harsh?" asked Sasuke. "You are looking at it as a friend Sasuke. Think...underage adolescents like him will start comitting such dirty crimes if they would be given just a 5 year imprisonment as a punishment, that's why he is punished so harshly. And about tomorrow......you do not come to see his torture, you are too small to see it. Also tell everyone of your friend too to not come" said Itachi as he went to his room to get his sleep.

In Namikaze house.

Minato and Narumi were sitting next to Kushina who was crying since she had left the court. Then they heard their door open to see Menma coming inside the house. "What punishment has he recieved Menma?" Asked Minato in a low voice. "He will be imprisoned for 5 years in the hole and will be tortured publicly tomorrow morning at 6" said Menma with same low voice. Kushina suddenly stopped crying, " So he will not be hanged?" asked Kushina with a slight smile on her face. "Whatever happens we don't care. Kushina forget about him now, he is not our child anymore. Someone like him can never be our child. He has failed us as a child. He should have never been born." Said Minato. Kushina had stopped considering Naruto a child since he was  arrested for attempt to rape. Though she had totally kicked Naruto out of her heart , she felt happy that Naruto would not be killed atleast. Afterall she has a mother's heart.
