It Started In Berlin: A Lena Mantler Love Story

It's your wedding day. You are happier than ever. Lena looks amazing, and she reminds you that you look amazing too. Your family and friends are there. Some of them meeting for the first time. You are at the altar about to say your vows... Until you open your eyes to Izzie pawing at your hand. It was all an illusion. You think yourself, "Wow, I want to be this woman's wife." Izzie sees you are emotional and comforts you with her little high pitched meow.

Your POV: Phew. It will be a while I'm sure. We are both still so young. There is plenty of time for that.

You go on with your day trying to forget about the daydream. It truly did make you happy to think about. However it was just unrealistic for the time. You and Lena have school and work to deal with right now.

Lena gets home. You greet her at the door with a hug and kiss.

Y/n: So... How did it go?

Lena: Uh, I had to use the excuse...

Y/n: Okay, and did it work?

Lena: Haha, ya I think so.

Y/n: Think so? Uh oh

Lena: Lisa kinda knows when I'm lying. So I am not sure if she believed me or not.

Y/n: Well, did the actual shoot go okay?

Lena: Oh yeah, It was great! I actually brought a few pieces of clothes back.

She hands you some outfits. You should've known she would get you a gift.

Lena: These are for you.

Y/n: Aww, thank you so much!

Lena: My pleasure.

You order dinner and watch a romantic movie (The Best of Me) while cuddling. You don't do anything else. You both just feel like relaxing. Izzie and Casey even cuddle up next to you two. Close to falling asleep, Lena turns to you and plays big spoon. She runs her soft hands through your hair. Her other arm is wrapped around you in a comforting hug. You feel your best here. You feel safe and comfy.

Lena's POV: I love this woman so much. I wish I could express how deeply in love I am. She makes me feel special and I'd like to think that I make her feel special too. I can't wait to see what the future holds.

You two fall asleep all snuggled up.

The next morning

You wake up to see Lena's hands where they were when you fell asleep.  You turn your head slightly trying not to wake her up and think, "Damn, she is so gorgeous when she's asleep." You decide to go back to sleep until she wakes up. A couple hours later you both wake up at the same time. You turn to face her and say good morning. She smiles and takes your chin in between her index finger and thumb. She starts pulling you for a kiss, but you resist saying, "You probably don't want to do that right now, I have morning breath." She giggles and says, "You really think that would change my mind?" She lifts  your chin and she kisses you. You are entranced by her tongue and keep kissing for a few minutes. You get out of bed and keep this moment in your head for the rest of the day.
