The only thing dad taught me, unrelated to business, was how to properly put on a tie and chose the perfect outfit for any social event.

Although he took a lot of time helping me when I was a kid, I no longer needed guidance. This was ironic since I had gotten rid of the tie and jacket long ago and most of the top buttons of my shirt were undone.

I threw another punch and Ezra stumbled back. I tried to block a jab to my stomach but he was too quick and I fell. Two kicks straight to my head and I was done, spread on the floor and motionless.

"YAAASSSS" Ezra got up, arms up and fists closed around the controls "VICTORY! You suck, mate"

I laid back on the sofa and tossed the controls to the side, sighing.

"Yeah, yeah. Keep it down" I told him "One out of five is not that much"

He rolled his eyes at me and laid on the sofa too, legs on my lap.

"Another one?"

"Or you could let others play" Walt suggested "Just an idea I had"

"I second that idea," Peter said, both of them on the other couch.

I gave them my controls so they could play and Ezra ended up having to give up his too.

"What are they serving outside?" Ezra asked, turning to Peter, our host.

This was supposed to be an important business gala but we managed to get to the game room without anyone noticing. I was sure dad had planned to make me talk to some of his associates but I already knew them all and didn't feel like sweet-talking tonight.

"If you're looking for the vegan burgers, I think I saw them being served early, I'm not sure if there are any left"

We all turned when the heavy double door swung open and Emily's slim body appeared through the gap in a tight burgundy dress.

To say we were all startled was an understatement. The fear of our parents crossing those doors and dragging us upstairs was too great.

"Emily!" Ezra beamed "What are you doing here?"

She frowned "I was hoping you were here. I was bored to death. Beatrice is talking to some weird guy in an animal pattern suit"

"That's my dad," Walt said.

"And there was this one with a weird accent. I think it's Australian"

"That'd be mine" I raised a hand "Come in, then. Are you into video games?"

Emily walked towards us and sat on the sofa's arm by my side since Ezra had his head in the other. I would have gotten up if someone didn't have his feet on my lap.

"Are any burgers left?" Ezra asked her urgently.

"Burgers?" she repeated "I didn't notice"

His smile fell but then he got up and grabbed her arms, pulling her up in a swift move.

"Let's go throw some darts"

I took his place and laid on the sofa while the other two kicked each other's asses on the screen. Couple-ish things.

"What are they doing upstairs?" I asked her.

We had learned days ago when we kidnapped Emily to play with us rather than get a makeover, that she sucked at darts, though was great at many other things.

"Talking," she said simply.

Ezra was helping her throw a dart, his right hand pointing hers and the left one grabbing her by the waist and being consistently pulled away by Emily's. This caused them to be in motion and unable to point at the target.
