Chapter 1❣️Babysitter

Enji is a good dad in this fic...a good dad. It's fun writing him as a good parent ngl. He'll still be an asshole, but not towards his kids

     It was chaotic right before Shouto entered the house. His little sisters' voices were loud and it sounded like they were running around while the someone frantically yelled for them to calm down. Right as he stepped inside, everything went quiet and still. Two little girls looked over at him and grinned. "Shouto!" A six year old with white hair and red tips screams as she runs over to him and hugs his right leg. The other six year old with red hair and white tips follows right behind and hugs Shouto's left leg.

      "Don't try to act innocent now. I could hear you on the other side of the door", Shouto says with a stern tone.

      The twins didn't say anything. They only looked at each other and giggled.

      "Please be more considerate of the other neighbors in this apartment. I'm sure I'm going to get lots of complaints because of that. And respect your babysitter. She works very hard to watch over you both."

He turns his attention to the young woman. She looked very stressed out. From her untamed hair to her furrowed eyebrows, she was not having a good day. "I'm so sorry about them. I'll pay you ex–."

      "I quit!"

      Shouto jumped from the loud voice of the woman. She went around the living room picking up her belongings that were strewn around and storms up to him. The twins stand behind him with their heads bowed down. "I'm sick of this! Your sisters are little demons! They're fine when I pick them up from school but as soon as we get home they are all OVER the fucking place!"

     "Who gave you the right to call them that", Shouto shouts as he follows after her. "I understand that they can be a handful but please give them a chance. I'll pay you double the amount I do now!" Shouto knew that he would not be able to do that. It was already hard enough to just pay his father's debt and hospital bills. Moreover, he did not have the time to find a brand new babysitter for his two young sisters.

     She stops and slips her shoes on in a careless way before opening the door. "No thanks! I'll take my business elsewhere. Oh! And your father? He's the fucking worst! I can't do a single thing without him breathing down my neck! I wish you good luck with finding those brats a loyal ass babysitter!" She slams the door in Shouto's face. He lets out an exasperated sigh and runs his hands through his red and white hair. This is not what I had in mind when I came home from work.

     Shouto looks behind to see the twins on the couch playing with their dolls. Fourteen years ago, Enji's company started losing stocks and people were quitting left and right as rumors of embezzlement surfaced. It caused him to get really stressed out and sick. It also didn't help that after his mother died when giving birth to the twins, everything seemed to go downhill faster. They lost their gorgeous home and Shouto's older siblings left them behind without turning back.

      Now, for the last six years, Shouto has been working at a small local library all while making sure Enji took his medicine and attended his appointments. And that the twins were being taken care of.

      Shouto stands up from the threshold and walks in the living room. "Yua. Yui. You can't keep causing trouble for every babysitter I find. They take care of you until I get home and you just have to deal with that."

"But that lady was mean", Yua whines. "Can't dad take care of us?" Yui nods her head as if agreeing with the question.

      "No, dad isn't feeling very well. You both know this. Now I have to look for someone else. I'm very sure that almost every babysitter has heard about you two little rascals."
