Chapter 4❣️ Charms

The following day was the day Shouto was going out with Izuku. He was so all over the place that he had not idea what to do first. It was going to be his first date. Or should he even consider this a date? He met Izuku not even a week ago and the man was asking him out!

"Why are you so fidgety? Be still so I can do your hair!"

Shouto sighs as Yuuga finishes tying half of his hair into a ponytail. His hands release it and pulls two thin strands out to frame Shouto's face. "You could've done this yourself, y'know", Yuuga says yet he still continues to play with his friend's hair. "I was too nervous to even think of a hairstyle. You're a lifesaver Yuu."

      Yuuga grins triumphantly while patting the man's shoulders. "Of course I am. I'm not a hairstylist on the side for no reason. Plus, I guess it was convenient for Denki so he could have a ride here." He hesitates in his sentence for a moment before speaking up. "If he trashes the place let me know. 'Kay?"

       "The girls and my father already do that on a daily basis", a giggle came after. "Kaminari will be fine."

       "If you say so."

        After Yuuga left the bedroom, Shouto stands up from the chair and looks at himself once more in the mirror. Am I too dressed up? Or dressed down? I've never been on a date so I don't even know what I should do. What should I even bring with me? Or should I bring something? The man takes a look at his clothes. It was a simple white cashmere sweater with navy blue skinny jeans. His hair down half up and half down. He figured he'd be okay. He hoped he'd be okay. Why should I worry anyway? It's not even a date.

Shouto grabs his phone and texts Izuku that he would be on the way to the library. He was prepared to wait for a while, but not even a minute goes by before Izuku responds with an 'alright' and a smiley face 🙂. Shouto chuckles at the emoji as it lifted the veil of anxiety a bit. He  grabs his small backpack and steps out of his room. Yuuga was now in the kitchen while Denki was entertaining the twins. "You both be good for Kaminari, okay?"

      Yua and Yui run over to him and hug him. "Will you be gone long", Yui asks.

     "Do you have to go", Yua questioned with a whiny tone.

       "Hey, don't worry. Kaminari will keep you busy. I'm just meeting a friend anyway, I'm sure I won't be gone for a long time."

       "Promise", they asked in sync.

       Shouto sticks both pinky fingers out and smiles. "Promise." The girls wrap their little fingers around his and squeeze tightly before letting go and running off to go to Enji's room. "And don't stress dad out too much either!"

"Okay!"

"I'll make sure that everything is under control", Denki says as he walks up to Shouto. "You go and have fun."

"And you better tell me all of the juicy details", Yuuga purrs. Despite the fact that he wasn't looking at his best friend, Shouto could feel his smugness radiating off of the blonde.

"Ha ha ha, sure. It's not even like that."

"For now~."

"Okay. That's my cue to go. Bye everyone!"

They bid him farewell as he slip his white sneakers on in the foyer. And as soon as he opens the door, he's face-to-face with his raven haired neighbor. "Oh. Hello."

Hanta gives the small man a charming smile. "Hi." He lifts a few dolls up in front of Shouto. "Are these dolls your sisters'?"

Shouto looks over the two dolls. One a caramel skinned ragdoll with curly dark brown hair. The other was a Elsa doll. He sighs and grabs the items from the detective. "Sorry about that. I keep telling them to stop leaving their things out in the hallway. I worry about them being stolen or someone getting injured."
