Last Time in CMUC
Most of the day was rather peaceful, as things go here. Early in the day, Diana offered to help Isi with her mind, but they encountered a part of Isi's mind who rather rudely shoved them out. After that Isi had a session with Diana where she was teaching her both to talk about her problems and to be comfortable with snuggling again.
Then Kailyn appeared, injured from her last encounter with Ciara and battling with her dark one. The sight of the blood makes Diana thirsty, and she drinks from Isi while Vici heals Kailyn. Kailyn was only barely repaired when Ciara returned and took her away for yet more trials.
Isi, dazed from the blood loss, returns to the group. Aiyae and Quarven appear, and Quarven treats Vici's wounds while the group discusses their problems, mainly Rexuin, Farashined's plans, and Hayis's absence. Depressing, but peaceful, until Rexuin shows up.
Rexuin stays just long enough to taunt the group and hurt Diana before disappearing with Isi and taking her to the Chasm. The others follow, but it seems that time in the Chasm passes differently. Isi has been there for hours--long enough for Rex to do some serious damage. They find Isi burnt, battered, and missing an eye.
The group takes Isi to an infirmary room in Diana's castle, where Aiyae replaces the eye Rex cut out with a human eye, but her other wounds aren't treated yet. The group returns to the clearing, but Diana leaves shortly after, saying she has something she needs to do in the Chasm.
Their grieving is disrupted by the arrival of another enemy, a featureless metal man who called himself Nehxix. The air is filled with sleepy toxins, slowing down the group and almost sinking them into sleep, but he does no real damage before leaving again.
Quarven and Vici talk to one another for a few moments before Farashined appears to take Quarven away.
How will Isi recover from the damage? Will Nehxix show his non-face again? And is it possible the next minor plot could be pretty funny? Find out next time on CMUC!
