eren's pov:
explaining to my parents why mikasa and i were making out in the middle of the driveway in the pouring rain was interesting. luckily they weren't mad, it was just extremely awkward. my mom said she knew something was going on between us and my dad just said he'd appreciate it if we didn't do that stuff where everyone can see. noted.
mikasa asked me if i wanted to go back to her house with her and hang out, i of course said yes. it's nice to officially be with mikasa. it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and i can breathe better. i'm so happy she feels the same way about me.
"hey eren." mikasa said as we were on our way back to her house.
"yeah?"
"i'm so happy we're together, but let's just not tell our friends at least not for a little bit. let's just enjoy being together without worrying about them."
"sounds good to me." i said as i leaned in to kiss her on the cheek.
"so what do you want to do when we get back to my house?" she questioned.
"whatever you want to do i want to do." i told her. as long as i get to spend time with mikasa i'm happy.
"uh.. let's paint something!" she said excitedly.
"i didn't know you could paint."
"i can't but that's what makes it fun."
"i can't either so we're even."
"even? this isn't a competition eren." she said giggling.
"no but it can be. we'll draw each other and whoever's looks better will win."
"alright what does the winner get?" she said smirking.
"that's for the winner to decide. but don't worry about that because i'm winning." i said before winking.
"yeah whatever."
once we got to her house we looked through her cabinets to find old paint and paint brushes. we even managed to find 4 x 4 canvases.
since it was no longer raining we decided to set towels down in the grass outside to paint out there in case it got messy. once we set everything up mikasa set a timer for 5 minutes and we began the competition.
i went to paint mikasa's face and there was no tan paint color. how do u even make tan? shit this is harder than i thought. i'll just have to improvise i guess. i was quickly beginning to realize i was in fact no picasso and i'm pretty sure a 5 year old could do a finger painting better than this.
i looked up at mikasa to see if she was as stressed as me but she wasn't. her face was quite focused however. i watched as she stood back and meticulously analyzed her painting. she was absolutely gorgeous. the way the breeze gently blew her hair out of her eyes was a stunning sight. i had to have been staring for longer than intended because the timer went off.
"alright drop ur brush." she told me as she silenced the alarm.
"okay show yours first." i suggested because i was a little ashamed of my work.
"alright it's not the best i'll admit." she said as she turned her canvas to face mine. she's right it really wasn't the best. better than mine but still not very good. i couldn't help but chuckle.
"hey asshole don't laugh." she said while trying to push me over.
"sorry sorry." i tried to compose myself.
"fine show me yours."
i sheepishly turned mine around only to be met with a roar of laughter from mikasa.
