24 : Connect the dots

Jimin's  pov :

I decided that before going to grandma's house I will visit Yoongi first, to let him know that I'm going away for a while. 

I inhaled and exhaled before walking up to Yoongi's apartment. I hold my breath before pressing the bell and wait...and I waited...and waited..but no sign of Yoongi.

Is he okay? Wait! Is he sick! Oh no! How can I get in now!

While panicking, I felt a small tap on my shoulder. I turned around but jumped a little to see a young boy, a little taller than me with doe eyes. Staring directly at me with a curious face. I exhaled the breath I was holding and he blinked a couple of times before smiling a little.

"Are you here to meet Yoongi-hyung?" He asked sweetly and I can smell his scent. A raw scent of bamboo and seawater. 

An alpha?  But ...he called Yoongi-Hyung so younger than Yoongi? Who is this kid?

"Uh..yeah, seems like he's busy." He shook his head and title his head.

He's so cute.

"Yoongi-hyung said he will stay at his friend's for some reason. And he requested me to tell this to a guy named 'Jimin' and maybe it's you since no one came by besides you." I blinked a few times, to process what he said.

"Oh..he said that."He nods. I looked down and sighed. I thought I was the one who needed space but I guess we both need some space.

"Are you 'Jimin'?" He asked being a little curious.

"Yeah, I'm Jimin. And who are you?"I asked with a smile because he looks cute.

"I'm Jeongguk. I live downstairs. Yoongi-hyung told me a lot about you. And it seems he was right that you are beautiful." My face turned red because of the compliment.

"Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to offend you! It's just you are beautiful as Yoongi-Hyung had described so I couldn't stop to stare at you." I shook my head and walked closer to him, patting his head.

"It's okay, Jeongguk. Thank you for the compliment." Jeongguk smiled and then he looked down at my bag.

"Are you going somewhere too?"He asked being a curious kid again.

"Yeah! If Yoongi comes by then tell him that for me, will you do that?" Jeongguk nods and I smiled at him.

I started to make my way to grandma's because I don't want to go crazy while staying around here.

Yoongi's pov :

Maybe staying with these two for refreshing my mind was one of my good decisions. Because I can be relaxed and can think about something else than worrying my ass off.

Just like usual, I woke up, had some toasts and stayed inside my room. Nothing much happened until...I jolted up from my bed when the pull was slowly fainting.

Wait! What is wrong?! Why is it so faint?! Is my mate okay?!

Without further due, I rushed downstairs and abruptly stopped when Jin-Hyung was in front of me. He looked at me like I had another head.

"What's wrong with you? Why are you sweating?" He asked while crossing his arms. Raising his eyebrows, my throat was drying up as the pull is was still there but ...very little to notice.

"Yoongi?" Jin-Hyung tone changed to a softer one when I didn't even notice that I was kind of crying?

"Are you okay? Are you feeling sick?  Yoongi?" Jin-Hyung instantly holds me and shake me a little to have some words out of me. But I don't kill was why but I was feeling like crying and the pull slowly fades away.

"Yoongi!"

"H-Hyung. .." I sobbed and Jin-Hyung was very confused by my behaviour, even I'm surprised to feel like this.

"Yoongi...tell me what's wrong.." I sobbed loudly which made Hyung soft and he hugged me until I calmed down.

"Yoongi..are you feeling okay now?" I nod and wipe my eyes because I know I was avoiding this topic to talk with Hyung but ...I think I can't avoid it anymore.

"Hyung...do you know anything about a pull?" Jin-Hyung frowns and pouts before nodding.

"Well, I do know. Since I'm a professor at the college, I know many things. But why are you asking about it? The pull is not a usual thing nowadays." I sighed before explaining everything which was going on last few weeks.

"So, you have been feeling this pull only when your around Jimin's area? Like it gets strong when you are around there?"I nod when Jin-Hyung heard everything and leaned back.

"Then, it might be possible that you can feel the pull whenever you are with Jimin.  He is your mate then." I was still confused about it.

"How is that possible? I mean he doesn't have a scent and I can smell my mate..even though it is faint but still." Jin-Hyung shook his head.

"Being scentless isn't the main problem here. The main thing is that you felt the pull and you have accepted it either you like it or not. The pull is an alternative way to find your mate if your mate is better at hiding or like Jimin who is scentless." I can't believe what Jin-Hyung is saying but I'm starting to get happy because maybe there is a chance with Jimin after all.

"There are some rare cases where you can see the omegas can adopt their parent's scent, for example, if the child is alpha then they will adopt their alpha parents scent until they are old enough to discover their own, same goes with the omegas. But since it's Jimin who are we talking about, just like he said ... he is just a late bloomer. He hasn't developed his scent which is only his mate can help him to do so and he might have a similar scent like his mom or dad who is an omega." My eyes sparkled.

"Is there a possibility of happening?!" Jin-Hyung smiled at me to see me being happy.

"It is scientifically proven too. Not long ago but there was a case similar to yours and they turned to be right." Namjoon joins as he adds the information.

"So, there's a chance that Jimin is your mate after all." Namjoon finishes and I let out all relieved sigh. Until Jin-Hyung scoffed.

"Jimin is so smart and clever. He acts too dumb but he's smarter than I thought." I was confused because why his saying that all of a sudden.

"Why are you saying that?" Jin-Hyung smirked and glanced at Namjoon.

"Jimin knew about the pull. He felt it way before you did. But he kept it low since he wants you to figure out first." My jaw dropped after hearing that.

"You mean...he knew these! Like all of these! And didn't bother to tell me about it!" Jin-Hyung nods as he chuckles.

"Didn't you notice how clingy he was? He had been sticking to you and he even thinks that your scent is amazing." Now to think of it ...he has been like that a lot and I thought ..that maybe he just likes to be lovey-dovey like that.

"Oh gosh...Hyung..."

I have to find Jimin. ..now!
