8 : Surprising Heat

Two weeks later

Yoongi's pov :

Finally! My exams are over! Now, I can do whatever I want. I haven't seen Jimin for a while so, I'll visit him first.

"What should I get for him?" I tap my chin while thinking of something. I'm still on my campus, hoping to get something before going to meet him.

"I'll buy him whatever interests me." I chirped while walking out from the campus to head to the store.

I bought a box of mini chocolate because it looked cute and it was on sale as well. As far as I have done my research about omegas, I have learned that they love sweet treats and scented stuff such as flowers and chocolate. But since Jimin lives in a flower garden, so chocolate was the best choice.

The small bell rang when I stepped inside the store, welcomed by the sweet scent of all the flowers around the store. Directly, I head to the counter since Jimin always lays around there. Hoping to see a bright smile on his when I swipe the curtain but I was greeted by a lady. Her featuring slightly matches with Jimin.

"Welcome, can I get you something, dear?" She asked with a small smile planted on her face. I was speechless because I wasn't expecting her here.

"Um, I was uh..wondering where is Jimin. ." I asked being a little nervous and scared about the consequences. I was hoping that she would start asking dozens of questions to me but I was wrong, she smiled and sighed.

"I'm sorry, Jimin is a little Um. .sick. He couldn't be here today. If you have anything to say to him then you can tell me, I'll deliver it to him." She ends with a smile and oh gosh, it looks just like Jimin's.

"Um... I didn't know. So, Um can you please give him this.." I slowly slide the small box of chocolates to her and she stares at them.

"Just these?" She asks with a teasing tone. I wasn't sure what else to do, so an idea quickly came up and I excused myself.

I quickly ripped a page and started to write something so that Jimin can read while being in bed. I know it's a little weird but I'm really worried for him. What could happened to him to get sick like that...

After finishing the letter, folded it gently and run back inside to the lady and hand her the letter. She smiled again and nod.

"I'll tell him that his special friend came by today." She teased a little but I was surprised by hearing her words.

"Special friend..did he talked about me?" She nods and now, I'm confirmed that she is Jimin's mom. I quickly bowed to her and left the store after a while.

"She's so pretty. ..no wonder why her son is pretty.." I had too much time and so, I decided to crash into Namjoon's place to spend some time before heading home.

"Yoongi?" Jin asked being confused by my appearance all of a sudden.

"Hey."

"Did you forgot your way back home?" Jin spat being salty as always.

"No, just wanna spend some time. Is that a crime?" Jin scoffs.

"Last time I checked you avoided and ignored our calls when we called you for dinner and later on when we called you for afternoon tea, you said you had a plan with someone! So, why are you crawling back here?" I rolled my eyes because I know why he's being salty.

"Did you heat happened last week?" I asked back which made Jin a little flustered.

"What if it did! Why?!" Jin spat again but I gave up, I don't wanna piss him off.

"By the way, who were you hanging out with lately? Is it that omega you talked about?"Jin asks and concerns lingered in his voice.

"His name is Jimin. And yes, I have been hanging out with him. At least he's not salty like you." Jin rolls his eyes.

"What happened today? He's busy?" Jin pours some tea in his cup while glancing at me.

"I met his mom and she said he's sick." Jin pursed his lips.

"Maybe he's on his heat." I snapped my head to Jin who silently sips onto his drink.

"Heat?" Jin nods.

"Every omega goes through that, at least twice a month. Since he's an omega so he has to face it too. " Jin explains. I nod because I know that but I also know that the heat they go through is extremely painful without a mate but with a mate, it's easy for them to cause of their mate's scent and other stuff helps.

"He might have been in pain, I hope he has enough supplies to keep him warm and relaxed. If he gets stressed out then it will take a toll on him." Jin finishes as he places the cup down.

"How long does it stays?" I ask like a curious cat.

"Mate-less omegas takes almost a week to get better from the heat and after-effects. But bonded and mated omegas only take three days to get fully recovered. Now, look at me I got better on my third day. But the mood will swing a little until the whole effect dries up." Jin explains which was pretty accurate.

"I hope he's okay."

Jimin's Pov :

Shoot, my whole body is aching like crazy. Even my head feels heavy. I wasn't expecting my heat to be on this week. But I am a little glad because I don't have a scent and as long as I don't attract any alphas, my pain will be limited but won't go away that easily. Well, I can say I'm a little different than most omegas.

I heard a small knock on my door and the sweet scent of my mother spreads inside my room, making a relaxing atmosphere for me to breathe in.

"How's my son doing?" She asks after closing the door and I made grabby hands towards her. I know it looks terrible like a 19 years old boy..making grabby hands to his mother like and child. But trust me, mom's scent relaxes me more than ever.

"My head hurts so bad.." My mom gently put away what she bought with her and started to stroke my head.

"Your friend was here." I can hear mom whispering those words to me.

"Which one?"

"The special one." I jolt up and pushed myself from mom and stared at her.

"When!"

"This afternoon. He bought you something and left a letter." Mom shows me the small box and a piece of paper, neatly folded was on top of it.

"Thank you so much for bringing this to me, mom!" I squealed and can't believe that Yoongi came by and I'm in my heat, damn!

Quickly I opened the box and the sweet aroma of chocolates hit my nose, making me go weaker in my current state. Without any second thought, I grabbed two of them and shoved them in my mouth. I was craving them from last night.

"Easy, don't eat all at once," Mom warns as she gently rubs my back while me enjoying the chocolates.

"I'll be with your dinner, don't eat all of it now. I'm serious." Mom warns before leaving me with my chocolates and I almost forgot about the letter. After having the 7th piece of chocolate, I stopped and felt a lot before there than before. I grabbed the letter and smiled at it before unfolding it to see what he wrote.

"Ay, his handwriting is bad." But not like it's unreadable.

After reading the whole letter, I felt a little special. .because he was worried about me and wished me to get well soon. That made my heart beat twice the speed as usual.

What am I going to do ...
