CHAPTER 16| Where Is She?

(3rd person POV)

Fred and George woke up in the common room armchairs. They looked at the time; 6 in the morning. "Did Cassie come back?" asked Fred, rubbing his eyes. "I don't know. Dozed off. She's probably in her room already." replied George.

"But won't she wake us up and tell us that she's back?"

"Maybe she did not? But that is unlikely of her "

"Let's check in her room shall we? Levitate me up there can you?"

George levitated Fred up the stairs of the girls dormitory. Fred knocked on the door and Katie opened the door; rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. "Hi Katie. Is Cassie there?" said Fred. "Nope. Wasn't she supposed to be with you guys? She never came upstairs." "Oh. Thanks anyways." Said Fred and George levitated him back downstairs. "Do you really think it takes this much time to talk to Dumbledore?" asked Fred. "I don't think so. A message so big that she has to be there for almost 9 hours?" replied George.

"Maybe she's in the library?"

"But her head was full of problems. She never reads at that time does she?"

"You're right. She plays exploding snap and laughs at our face when our eyebrows or hair is singed off."

"Let's walk to Dumbledore's office. Maybe she's somewhere around there."

The two started walking towards the headmaster's office. Checking each and every classroom as they went. There was no one in the corridors; everyone enjoying their sleep, till they had to wake up by 7. A book is what they saw. "The Ravenclaw symbol" said George as he opened the book. "Do you think it was Cassie's?" asked Fred. "I did not see her carry any book as she went. Maybe. But aren't the books in the Ravenclaw Private Library only for the Ravencaws?" said George, both of their faces stressed hard upon thinking.

"Just think about it. Cassie is in friendy terms with the Ravenclaws. Lovegood is her friend, and Walter is her boyfriend so I think they would let her borrow a simple thing as a book."

"Let's see. Breakfast starts in an hour. Maybe she was with Walter or Lovegood or someone else."

The waited at the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall. But there was no sign of Cassie. Neither did anyone know where she was, and nor did Terrance Walter show up for them to ask him. "Hermione, did you see Cassie?" asked the twins in unison. "No. I was looking for her myself." "We've been looking for her in the entire castle. She's nowhere." Said George.

They searched again; even in the infirmary. But they couldn't find her.

Molly and Bill came to the castle to support Harry. But no one mentioned that Cassie was missing to Molly. Everyone knew by now, that Cassie was part of the Weasley family and Molly saw her has own.

Molly went towards the twins and asked, "Where is Cassie? I haven't seen her since I arrived." "Um..." they twins said. "She's with Filch" "She's at the Library." They both said in unison. (Where is their in-sync ability when you need it?)

On Molly's questioning look Fred said, "She's with Filch in the library." "Doing detention." George continued with a couple of nods. "Why on earth would Cassie have detention? I see you two are having a bad influence on her." Molly said. "She went out of bed after curfew. Got caught." The twins quickly made up the lie. Molly believed it and went back to Ron, who was speaking to Bill.

The twins caught sight of a certain Ravenclaw. "Hey Walter!" They both shouted. Terrance turned around and saw the two Weasley twins walking/jogging toward him. "Where is Cassie?" asked Fred. "I am looking for her too. She's not there anywhere. I thought that maybe she is with you guys." Terrance said. "She went to Dumbledore's office yesterday, but never came back. We found a book on the way with the Ravenclaw symbol. You sure you don't know where she is?" George asked.

"Pretty Sure. Yes."

"You were missing the entire day and then Cassie goes missing too. Where were you by the way?" asked Fred.

"I was sick. Madam Pomfrey gave me a pepper up potion and now I'm all better. Atleast better enough to see the final task." Terrance said. His words a little rushed and frustrated.

One thought went through all their minds: Where did she go?

(Back to Cassie's POV)

Out of the shadows came Mr. Moody. "I knew that you knew something. Something that no one else knew. A time traveler; wow. You're just a little pest in my plan. And what do we do with pests? We destroy them; kill them."

I raised my wand at him, my insides turning upside down. I thought that I might throw up. But I stood my stance; not showing out my fear. "You'll do nothing." I said. Moody/Barty Crouch Jr. just laughed, "Oh, don't worry. I won't harm you. The dark lord shall do it. He shall resurrect again, as you know. He'll decide on what to do with you." He casted the silencio spell on me first so that even if I scream it won't be heard. He deflected each spell I cast towards him and I did the same.

Until a bright light blinded me, and the darkness over powered it all.

A/N:

This chapter has been something I had been looking forward to since the start of the book. So much plot. The relation between the Weasley twins and Cassie is evident in this chapter because of how they know where she would go.
