In a few more days, Harry would be arriving to Grimmauld Place. There were order members coming in and going out often. I was just exploring around the place; looking at the beautiful antique collections and creepy and horrifying statues and nailed house elf heads, when I saw a room. I peeked in and saw a piano; a black big piano.
I used to play it when I was back home. I ran my fingers gently over the keys not pressing them. The cold keys grazed my fingers along with dust. I was not an expert but I knew how to play. I put my finger on the middle C note, the sound of the note echoing in the empty room. I soon started playing different songs that I learned, and even found a music sheet nearby, which I played. Memories of me and Alice having fun were on my mind, as I played random melodies on the piano.
Alice used to play the violin. She was excellent. She used to go to classes when she was not at Hogwarts, and taught herself how to play with the help of a friend from her boarding school. (Which I now know as Hogwarts).
What I did not know was that I had an audience. "That was awesome" the twins said. Ron, Hermione and Ginny clapped. "Thank you" I said. "I didn't know you could play the piano." Ginny said, coming closer to the piano.
"I used to play back home." I replied.
At the end of the day they forced me to play a piece in front of everyone.
-----
I was playing twister (Hermione had brought hers upon my request) with Ron, Harry, Hermione, Ginny and the twins, when Molly came into the room to call me downstairs. We were in weird positions; I was arched over and Ginny was doing something like a bridge under me. I could not even see what the others were doing. Fred and George had charmed the thing to tell us what each person had to do, instead of us going and turning the wheel. Molly raised an eyebrow at us in confusion and said, "Cassie dear, could you please come downstairs, Dumbledore is calling you." I turned (or I tried to) to face Molly and said, "Yes Molly. I'll be down there in a minute." She nodded and went back downstairs.
"Ok guys I have to go. We'll play again later." I said. Everyone got up from their awkward positions and some even let out a chorus of aah in satisfaction.
-------
"Today we shall meet a new order member. Somone who shall be very useful in our plans. I want you all to welcome her, and not judge her based on her age. Cassie you can come in now." Dumbledore said, and I entered the room. "Hi everyone." I said.
I was so happy to see everyone. Remus, Tonks, Bill, Charlie. There were a few others too like Mcgonagall, Snape, Kingsley and Mudungus. "But she's just a kid." Said Moody.
"She may just be a kid. But she knows far a lot more, than any of us. She knows what can happen far off in time." Said Dumbledore.
"She's a seer?" Mudungus asked.
"No." I answered.
"She's a time traveler." Said Remus.
"Yes I am." I confirmed.
"So the article about you was true?" asked Tonks. "Not trynna be rude." She added.
"It's fine. Yes it was true. The article I mean." I looked at Dumbledore and he nodded. It was time everyone knew my story. (At least the ones over here).
"Now. Where should I start?"
------
The meeting was over, and I had gone back upstairs to my room. It was a medium sized room, with cream coloured walls. It had a wooden desk in the corner, a bathroom, A shelf on the other corner and small bedside desk and lamp. I had a queen sized bed (yep the black house had some perks) and above it were various pictures of me at Hogwarts, with the Weasleys, and with Harry and Hermione.
I turned my doorknob and got in but gave out a yelp. It was 1 in the morning and there in my room sat Fred and George. "Why did they call you. Anything you wanna talk about?" They asked. "Nothing. Dumbledore announced to the entire order that I'm from the future." I said. "Were you crying?" asked George. "Nope. It's nothing. Something went in my eye." I replied. The twins gave me a oh-really look. "Fine. It's just that. It was hard to think of my old life; my parents, sister, friends, Alice. My old school and teachers. I just miss them. A lot." I said.
The twins scooted away from each other and patted the space between them. I sat down. "Let it all out mate." Said Fred. "Ya. It's ok to cry sometimes you know." Said George. "Now. You guys will just think of me as the one who cries easily." I said. "No we won't" said the twins. "Crying doesn't make you weak." Said George.
"Now who wants to play some exploding snap and laugh at the other's faces when their eyebrows and hair gets singed off." Said Fred.
"Fred it's what-" I looked at the clock on my wall. "1:30 am. And you wanna play now?" I continued.
"Exactly. Makes it more fun" He said.
"Thank you guys. I feel loads better. Last one down to the parlour is the worst prankster." I said and raced down.
"Hey! You got a head start." Said the twins and ran after me.
----
We played exploding snap all through the night. We yawned, merlin knows how many times and struggled to keep our eyes open. And that's how Molly found us the next day. George on the couch, Fred on the carpet; his head on the table. I opposite to Fred cuddled on to the leg of the soft armchair that was near me. The fire still crackling, yet almost dying.
