Chapter Ten: Barely an appetizer

IT was morning when Logan called Niezel and had a driver fetch her from her house to the village where his house is. Niezel agreed to Logan's offer just right after the talk with Toto.
The driver guided her to Logan's office, which is on the ground floor. Halatang walang masyadong tao roon. Niezel cleans his house in the aristocrat village every month to maintain its cleanliness. She always follow him around and clean every place he decided to go. Nick really dedicated her job for Logan's needs, lalo na't may obsessive-compulsive disorder ito.
She sat on a chair in front of him.
Niezel also had a guess that Logan would be wearing white-colored shirt because it's white day. Tomorrow would be black, and the next would be white. The schedule for those two certain colors of his shirts are alternate. Every shirt has their own match that has been folded with it beforehand. Bihira lang ito sumira sa 'color coding'. And she was right. Logan is wearing a white shirt and navy blue board shorts, just like she anticipated.
He pulled a box from his pocket and placed it on the table. "Are you sure about this? Now that you agreed to my terms, I want us to marry next week."
Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Niezel. "Next week?
Logan released a sarcastic laugh while looking at her with amusement. "Few months? I don't waste my time wauting for tomorrow for something that could be done today." "I am a busy man, Niezel. It may not look like it but I am. I don't want to waste my time planning all those time-consuming stuff. That's why I offered you a marriage. I don't want to waste my time dating and 'getting-to-know-shits'. It will come after the marriage. We have all the time in the world."
Niezel sighed and took the box from the table.
"That will be our wedding ring. It's an heirloom from my grandfather. He didn't give it to my parents because he knew they will hinder my plans about whom I'm going to marry."
"Next week ba talaga?
"I have a private jet and my driver will fetch your sister from manila. I will see to it that your sister will be your bridesmaid. Any requests?"
"I am a Miller and I gotta admit that people look forward for a grand wedding. But I'll give you credit for your thoughts. What's the inspiration behind it?"
"Honeymoon."
Logan was startled beyond comprehension. Gusto kong..." Niezel's cheeks also reddened. She clutched the hem of her shirt as her heart pounded in an overwhelming speed. "G-Gusto ko sanang magkaroon na ng anak."
