"What to do? What to do?"
Luz mumbled, silently cursing to herself for being not only indecisive but also a procrastinator. Times like this is when she wished she could've been more productive.
Luz paced around her room, nervously wringing her hands. Titan, why am I so useless? I can't even do this one simple thing!
She pulled on her lips; this is exactly why mami sent you to camp, Luz. To make you more mature instead of indulging in your 'silly' fantasy. Look at how you turned up now.
The Latina grumbled, slumping down against the wall. Her hand roughly pulled on her hair trying to soothe down the never ending headache. No matter how many pills she swallowed, it will still just be there. Like an itch that you can't scratch off. Luz's current frustrated state isn't helping the headache one bit either, only making it gradually worsen. Infuriated, Luz let out a high-pitched exasperated noise while savagely scratching her wrists. She hit her head onto the wall in hopes for the headache to die down but it.was.still.there!
Tears of annoyance now freely poured down as Luz harshly scratched her head, ignoring the pain from her nails.
Stupid. You can't even get this one thing right. One stupid simple thing! Why are you so useless!
The human was pulled out from the black hole she put herself into when thin pale hands gently yet firmly pulled her hands apart.
Agitated brown stared into concerned gold.
"What's wrong, kid?"
The witch fondly brushed Luz's hair out of her face.
"Tell me what's bothering you and I'll help you out."The Latina's staggered breathing began to calm down. She just sat there, dumbly staring at her mentor.
Eda gave her a soft smile; "I'll help you out, alright kid?"
Eda is not a stranger to Luz's reactions towards certain things or emotions. At first, she just brushed it off as another human thing but the longer she's around Luz the less she thinks it's a human thing. Rather, it's more of a Luz thing. The Clawthorne remembered how Luz once had vaguely described her personal life back in the human realm instead of generally like she always does. And by piecing things together; things like how the young human girl would hide in her hoodie when feeling threatened or the brief flash of fear in her eyes when she's been called to the kitchen to 'talk'- it all makes sense. This was not the first time Eda had walked into Luz while she's vulnerable. So, when she started hearing soft bangings from upstairs, she knew what she'd be dealing with.
Seeing no malice in her mentor's features, Luz nodded;
"Yes, please."The witch placed one hand on her hip;
"What do you need help with? Lay it on me, kid!""Well.." Luz fiddled with her hands; "I need help picking an outfit."
Eda's eyebrow shot up; "Oh?" A sly grin on her face; "Is my little owlet going on a date?"
Blushing, her voice came out squeaky; "Whaaa— where did you get that idea from?" She chuckled nervously.
Eda snorted; "It's fine, kid. Go and enjoy yourself with baby Blight."
