Summary:

Luz is doomed. Her printer isn't printing anymore and her papers are due tomorrow. So, now she's on her knees in front of the cute teal-haired neighbour she never had the courage to talk to before- begging to use her printer.

But the old lady who lives across from her apartment passes them and thinks Luz is proposing to her. Hmm? Can there really be something more from being 'just' neighbours?

If there was a word to describe Luz's current mood, the best choice would be sleep-deprived.

Luz was frantically pacing around her room- from her computer on the desk then to the stack of papers on her bed then back to the desk and repeat it in a loop.

'Art school is easy' they said. 'It's way less stress' they said.

Well in Luz's opinion, those people who say that can go rot because the piling stack of papers sitting on her bed begs to differ.

Ms. Clawthorne had tasked them to do their research on an artist of their choice, explaining in thorough detail about what exactly attracts you towards the artist. And Luz was determined to do her best to wow Ms. Clawthorne because for one- that lady is absolutely brutal. A's didn't come easy when it comes to arths and if one was to ask why, their lecturer's blunt comments regarding their assignments is enough proof. That lady does not hold back. She's known as 'prissy Ms. Lilith' across campus for a reason.

As to why it brings Luz to her current situation, papers after papers spewing out from her printer. Luz was glad she had finally finished her report after a whole week of research as she was so so very close to giving up. Especially with the due date being tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the brunette had celebrated her victory too early.

Just at that moment, the printer began to print faded texts before finally settling on leaving the page white. The colour feature on the printer began to blink signalling that it ran out of ink.

"Oh! Come on!" She groaned.

'Think Luz think. Where can I get a printer at 3 am?'

An idea came to her. Swiftly grabbing her hearing aids that were charging from its case before dashing out of the door- a destination in mind.

Amity tossed and turned in bed. She had been trying to go to sleep for the past few hours but unfortunately sleep did not come easy that night.

'This is exactly why you shouldn't take too many naps throughout the day' she internally scolded herself.

Just as she was about to go to sleep, a knock on her door jolted her back awake. She opted to ignore it and go back to sleep but damn the person was persistent. Grumbling, she got out of the bed and swung the front door of her apartment open.

The first thing she saw was a seemingly sleep deprived olived-skinned brunette on her knees, looking at her with huge puppy dog eyes.

What the fuc-?

Amity had prepared herself for many possibilities when she heard the knockings. Salesman, scammers, pranks, maybe even the twins. Heck she even prepared herself for the possibility of a ghost! But this. This was definitely not what she expected.
