| Wren's POV. |

Staring back at me was that devil spawn himself, Max's father...

"What are you doing here?" I asked, wanting to know how he got my address in his possession. "It's Good to see you, too," He grinned, crossing his arms behind his back, leaning towards me. He looked just like his son. Bright blue eyes and short blond hair. "What are you doing here?" I hissed up at him, with a angry expression.

"Don't you invite your guests in?" Max's father asked, as if he thought I should let him into my empty house. Nope. "I don't think that is a good idea..." I rambled, looking away from his wolf stare. He let out a light chuckle before commenting, "I think it's a great idea!" He said cheerily, as he walked towards me. My instinct was to move away, so I instantly moved back.

When I moved back, I immediately regretted it. He took my moves as an opportunity to sneak inside my empty house. "Why thank you," He smiled with a bright twinkle in his ocean eyes. "Welcome," I mumbled, rolling my eyes, as he started to roam around the living room. As if he was inspecting the living room, he walked past the couches with a questioning look.

"Your parents have very nice taste," Max's father mumbled, sounding very disappointed he had murmured that out into the public. "Thanks, I guess," I said shrugging, as he met my glance. "Sure, how about we drink some tea?" He asked, with a small smirk playing on his face. I could help but laugh, "I don't do tea..." Max's dad raised his eyebrows, as he watched my burst into laughter.

"Ahh, dear, you will do tea," He said, daring me to say something back with his eyes. His challenge took me by surprise, most people would have left by now...yet he was still standing there. "Excuse me?" I said, taking a step closer, accepting his little challenge. The small smirk that had formed on his face, turned into a big smirk.

"I don't think I stuttered," He said, matter-of-factly. He waved his hand in a snobby way, "Don't you have tea here?" He scrunched his nose up, and frowned. "I dunno, let me go check," I uttered, slumping my shoulders. His petty little comments were biting at my brain as I trugded to the kitchen.

Hearing the sound of shoes, only meant that he was following me around. "What!?" I snapped my head around to look at him. "Ooh, nothing, I just don't see how my Alpha Son is mated to something like you," He said, in his snobby girl voice. I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, I don't see how I am, either" I stand up on my toes, and swing open the cabinets, looking for some tea, so this man would shut up about it.

"So, you don't wanna be Luna?" He sounded amused by my response. I shrugged, "No. I don't wanna be mother to wolves..." I said, uninterested with him and the conversation. "You know, she-wolves would kill to be in your place, honey," He said behind me, like a smartass. "So, why can't one of them be Luna?" He chuckled heartlessly, "Oh, dear, it's not that easy," He said, as I found the a box of tea bags.

"Why?" I asked, aimlessly, as I took out two mug for the tea. I'm not all that fancy. "Well, the moon goddess put you and Max together," I really don't believe that, but when Max showed his wolf to me, I kinda believed him. "And who is this moon goddess character?" I challenged, putting the water on the stove, and turning to face him. Max's annoying father just smirked at me, "No one has ever seen her..." I scoffed, looking over away from him, "So how do you know she exists?" He chuckles, patting his stomach in the process, "It's called believing and faith..." He said, and leaned back on the kitchen counter.

"If the moon goddess wasn't real, then I wouldn't be here right now. Max and you probably would've never even met." He sounded happy at the thought of Max never meeting me. That ticked me off. "You know what? I don't need you, Max, or the fucking moon goddess! So do me a fucking favor, and get the fuck out!" I screamed at the top of my now burning lungs.

Max's father lit up with amusement, "Okay," He pulled up his hands in false surrenderence in a teasing way, "I'm so sorry for telling you the truth. You aren't mature enough—nor equip to be our next Luna. Please, forget about my son, and reject him. Leave Cassidy alone, too..." He plastered a sick looking grin.

I don't know why, but his statement eased it's way to my heart.

     You aren't mature.

     You aren't mature.

Nor equip to be our next Luna.

Nor equip to be our next Luna.

The tears brimmed my eyes out of anger, and sadness. I watch Max's dad's body retreat away from the kitchen, and out the front door. "Fuck you," I mumbled under my breath. Maybe I'm not mature...

The loud ringing out the tea pot made me practically jump out of my own skin. Hurrying myself, I took the hot water off of the stove, and just left there.

     I don't do tea.

Sniffling up to my room, my heart broke even more at the thought of forgetting Max and Cassidy. I can't do that...
