| Rosaline's POV. |

Jason and I trudged back into the space where Wren, Rori and Marco sat.

"Okay, so, now what?" Wren asked. She looked so amused at the whole situation at hand. I wondered how she acted when her mate came out as a werewolf.

Jason grunted with a disappointing look, not even sparing Wren a glance. "Maybe we should leave..." Jason said, catching my glum emotions like a wall made up of bricks. Jason didn't even look back at Marco and Rori to make sure they were aware that our plan had totally just failed.

I didn't need to look back at Wren, because if I did, I was surely going to break with hot tears fueled with embarrassment. Before any of us could try to escape, the door bell rang, sending the ring through the whole house.

Neither me, Jason, Marco or Rori budged from where we were, as though we were oblivious to the loud vibrations. Wren absently glided her eyes over the room before she got up from her seat to open up the door of her visitor.

"Who's that?" Wren shouted at the door. Gripping the knob with her right hand. "I don't want none of your girl scout cookies!" Wren whined, slumping over. Marco snickered at Wren's complaint, but no one else found it the least bit funny.

"It's Max!" The mumbled male's voice calls from behind the door, sounding rushed. I could see Wren's back stiffen, when the voice behind the door talked.

"M-Max!?" Wren repeated as if she said it wrong. "Yeah, it's me. I think we need to talk..." The male voice sighed. This is the alpha we read about.

"Please, let me in..." Wren stood there for a while. I stayed stone cold. "Alright, but you have a minute to talk..." Wren said sternly, before unlocking her front door.

She swung open the door to see a guy with light blonde hair. He kept his eyes on Wren, as she slammed the door behind him, and walked back to her seat where we were.

"Max, meet my pretend family..." Wren gestures at us, but only glances my way.

Max nodded at us all, but his eyes fixated on me. A grin moved in on his face as he examined me. "Wren, is this a relative of yours? She looks like you..." Max murred, while rubbing his chin.

"She claims it, but I don't see it," Wren muggly replys.

How am I suppose to convince her!?
