You stretch, letting any joints pop before you fall back into the grass. The warm ground greets you kindly, embracing your form. Your tail wags slowly with the calmness of the forest. The warmth of the sun always felt amazing and had you lounging in the rays for hours. The tundra is always too cold, the winter wind biting at your skin harshly. You could never understand why your dad decided to move to such barren lands. Most days you would leave the house for a warm biome. It's a long trip through The Nether but definitely worth it.

You usually wouldn't return to the house until dusk began to set it. Philza absolutely hated that, always being the overprotective type. He often got angry for your recklessness, saying that you could easily get attacked by a mob or person on the way home. But, you've been doing this since you were a kit. It's not like you slept most nights anyways, since you are partially nocturnal.

You yawn loudly, feeling more tired the longer you spend in the sun. You're about to fall asleep when the sun is blocked out. The sudden and prolonged shadow has you peeking an eye open. A white mask with an etched in smile stares back at you. Dream stands over you, his hands shoved into his pockets casually. With a fake sigh you close your eyes again, brushing off his presence.

"What do you want, Dream?" He ignores your guff tone, instead playfully tapping his boot against your side. You lazily try to slap away his foot, grunting when he rolls you over.

"George and Sapnap don't want to hang out."

"Shocker." You roll your eyes, sitting up to push his leg away roughly. He stumbles briefly but catches his balance in time. "What does that have to do with me?"

"I want to hang out, I'm bored." He drags out the syllables of the last word, his tone becoming whiny. You laugh lightly, tail swishing behind you.

"I just want to lay in the sun, can't you do that too?"

"That's lame. C'mon I found something really cool." You perk up at his words, ears shifting in excitement. Dream never did lie about finding interesting structures, he always explored the most. He catches your giddiness, smiling mischievously behind his mask.

"What did you find?" You hop up to your feet, inching closer to the male. He laughs, pushing you back a ways. He's glad for the mask, knowing it covers the redness in his cheeks from the sudden proximity.

"You have to come with me to find out." Your tail flicks in annoyance at the proposition. He knows you can't say no. You've always been very curious and have a large sense of wanderlust. He's confident that if your family wasn't around, you wouldn't stick in this area. You probably would be thousands of blocks away exploring every new biome and ruins you could find.

"Fine, but this better be the coolest thing ever." You follow the male through the forest, joking with him occasionally. His laughter and wheezes make you laugh harder, faces flushing with amusement. It isn't too long until you both reach the nether portal, the purple hues staring back at you both. Dream hesitates for a second, his hand landing on your shoulder.

"Wait, do you have any gold armor?" You falter, nothing escaping your mouth at the moment. You never wore gold armor in The Nether since you usually traveled with Technoblade. The other piglins wouldn't bother you with him around. Even without him though, you didn't take gold armor. You could outrun the piglins easily.

Dream runs his hand through his hair, messing up the locks more than they already were. He looks over you briefly, his nose scrunching at your iron armor. It wouldn't hold up too well where he's taking you. With slow movements he takes off one of his golden wrist gauntlets. He grabs your arm, his fingers gently caressing your skin. Carefully, he tightens the armor to your own wrist. You take your arm back, shifting it around to feel its weight. Surprisingly, it's lighter than you would've imagined.
