I watch Jake closely as he dribbles the soccer ball between his feet. He concentrates hard and passes the ball away from the opposite teams' players and heads for the goal.
The crowd roars when his goal flies past the goalie.
15 minutes later.........
Something was urging me to go talk to Jake. I don't know what it was, but something about him made me go crazy.
I watch him stand by the drinking fountain, alone, and finally gather the courage and walk up to him.
"Hey Jake", I finally magange to sputter out.
"Hi Mia", he responds.
"You did really good out there! Pretty impressive..", I blush.,
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG WHAT WAS I THINKING HE TOTALLY KNOWS I LIKE HIM NOW
"Um Okay Thanks?", he laughs.
Oh God. He must think I'm a total loser.
'I'll see you later", he says as he waves and walks up to his mom.
I run into the bathroom and lock myself in a stall to hide from the embarassment.
