(Get ready yall. Also I kinda think of Mary as Veronica Lodge from riverdale, I've never watched it but either of her or Katherine pierce)

October 17th

Mary woke up. She remembered the date.

A smile spreader across her face. She turned to see Diana but she was still asleep.

She decided to let her sleep.

Mary got dressed.

She walked down the slytherin dorm stairs and into the common room.

Pansy was sitting there.

"Hey!" Mary greeted.

Pansy smiled. "Hey! Somebody left you this letter! It's from your parents." Pansy said. Mary gulped.

She opened it. "Good morning, Mary. You haven't written. I'm only writing the letter to let you know this Christmas we will have a party."

The letter read.

Mary felt tears pull at her eyes. She wouldn't cry. No way. Not infront of people.

(Not bout to have a y/n moment yall. 🙄)

Mary's nose always had a blush when she would cry, along with her cheeks.

Mary stood up at went back to her dorm. Nobody said happy birthday. Not even Ace or Diana.

Mary decided to go to the library.

"Happy Birthday, Miller." A voice said.

Mary turned. Adrian Pucey.

"What? You remembered?" She asked softly.

"Of course...wait why are you surprised?" He asked sitting down in front of her.

"No reason." Mary said. She didn't wanna get embarrassed.

"I thought you hung out with ace on your birthday?" Adrian asked. Mary looked down. Her nose blushed.

She felt a pit in her stomach as she turned to her book.

"Oh." Adrian took the hint.

"Well Uhm, are you okay?" He asked. Mary glared at him. "My best friends who i grew up with since as long as I remember forgot my birthday!" Mary shouted.

"Of course not!" She added. Adrian rolled his eyes. "You don't need them to have a nice birthday. Come with me." He said pulling the girl.

"Where are we going?" The girl asked as her brown, almost black, hair flew back.

"Don't worry about it." He replied and they ran through the corridors.

The next thing you know they were at the entrance of the slytherin common room.

Mary shot him a confused look. He smirked at her. "Save me dance." He said.

"What?" Mary asked before the door opens.

"SURPRISE!" They yelled. Mary couldn't help but smile widely.

She turned to Adrian. "Thank you." She told him smiling. Adrian winked and walked in.

"MARY!" Diana yelled jumping at Mary. Mary laughed a bit hugging the blonde.

"Happy birthday, Love." Ace said smiling and hugging her. "Thank you guys so much! I thought you guys forgot." Mary told them.

"I feel offended." Ace said faking a gasp.

"But...it wasn't really us who came up with the idea..." Diana teased as she turned to Adrian in the corner talking to Marcus.

Seems like they are friends again.

Mary walked over to Adrian.

"Hey, can I talk to you?" Mary asked. "Uh sure." Adrian said smiling.

"So what is it?" Adrian asked as they walked away from the music and the people.

"Thank you, seriously." Mary said.

"Anytime, M'lady." Adrian said with a wink before going to kiss her hand.

It felt like forever before they pulled apart. Both of their hearts racing.

Adrian had a wide smile on his face.

Mary turned and walked away but stopped. "You did get me a gift right?" She asked.

Adrian chuckled. "It's in your dorm. Open it after." He said. Mary kept walking.

A nosey Diana stood there.

"So??" Diana asked. Mary pulled her. She told her what happened.

"OH MY GOD!?" She said smiling. "Such soulmates."

"No way, I don't date Quidditch guys, D." Mary said.

"SERIOUSLY? Still after that?!" Diana asked rolling her eyes. "Anyway let's dance, M."

After the party ended Mary walked back up to her dorm. She hadn't drank so much.

She seen a small box. It read,

From Adrian Pucey,
Just open it.

Mary began to pull off the ribbon.

Inside was three glass roses.

Mary smiled. She set them on her nightstand.

She began to open the rest of her gifts.

Diana gave her a Diamond pendent with diamonds and a snake.

Ace gave her a snake ring.

She seen a letter.

From her parents.

It had a stack of cash for her birthday.

Of course they didn't get her a gift, they didn't know what she liked.
