"Do a spin!" Ace suggested to mary.

She wore a blue and white dress and added a white small laced sweater.

She turned around as she adjusted her white headband.

"You look great!" Diana told her practically squealing.

Mary let out a short chuckle.

"Well I've got to go." Mary said grabbing her bag.

"Bye!" She called to her friends as she went out the common room and stood by the cobble stairs.

Just then the door opened to the common room and out came the one and only Adrian Pucey.

"Well don't you look lovely." He told her smiling as he admired the girl.

"Well, I suppose you don't look too bad yourself Pucey." She told him with a smirk.

"Good luck on your date with the hufflepuff." He told Mary.

Adrian walked through the halls.

As he arrived her sat at a window seat, waiting.

Mary sat on the stairs waiting.

At first ten minutes passed.

"Sorry I'm late!" Lola called as she walked up to him.

"Shall we go?" He asked. Lola nodded as they held hands and she walked in her pink dress.

Then, 30 minutes passed.

Then, 40.

Then, 50.

Then, an hour.

Then, she lost count.

How embarrassing.

The girl who wouldn't agree to go out on a date with hardly any boys at school was now being stood up.

Tears formed in her sad, brown eyes before she heard footsteps.

In hopes it was cedric, it wasn't.

There stood Adrian Pucey back from his date.

"Why are you here?" He asked confused.

She looked down.

He thought for a minute. Before her scanned the girl.

Her nose was red.

Her cheeks had a blush.

"He never showed?" He asked.

Mary kept her head down in embarrassment.

Adrian went over to her and sat down beside her.

"I waited an hour and a half." She finally spoke.

She then turned to him.

"That's so embarrassing." She finished.

A tear rolled down her cheek.

She scoffed as she wiped the tear.

"I'm sorry Mary, if anything you deserve way better then that stupid hufflepuff." Adrian told her.

Mary let out a small chuckle as her voice shook.

"How was your date?" Mary asked him.

"It was alright, it was pretty boring and awkward though." He told the girl.

She gave him a weak smile as her hand shook.

"Do you wanna go to your dorm? I'll walk you." Adrian suggested feeling pity for the girl.
