Beltane was getting close. Too close. I promised Tally I would tell Raelle how I felt, but I'm not even sure myself. Maybe this was a bad idea.

Right now we were at some formal greeting that Abigail's mother wanted us to attend. Abigail was worried Rae was going to be a no show, but sure enough she came running towards us. She sat down at our table and Damn she was hot. She had her hair brushed back and a Smokey eye that matched her all black outfit.

"Your late, as usual." Tally said.

"I know I know."

I'm just glad your feeling better." Tally smiled. "And also, Damn you look hot."

"That's what I'm thinking." I laughed.

"I was prepared to glamour you guys, but I guess I don't need to." Abby joked.

Tally looked away for a moment then her face fell.

"Excuse me." She said before standing up and walking away. I didn't see what it was that caused her to be upset, but I doubt I would be able to tell anyways. Rae looked distracted, heavily distracted. Abigail leaned in.

"Look I can see it on your face. Whatever is bothering you, let it go and get in the game. Do it for Tally."

"I'm here aren't I?" Rae asked before leaving.

"Can't anyone go a day without getting pissed off." I asked before following Rae. When I found her, she was standing next to a man in a purple suit.

"Mind if I join?" I asked them.

"Be my guest." The man said before continuing on with what they were saying.

"I just can't wrap my mind around it." He said. "Porter wasn't depressed, he had been looking forward to Beltane all week." I immediately knew what they were talking about. Porter was the name of the man who jumped off the building, the man that Rae almost died for. This must be a friend of his.

However, if what this man is saying is true, then it means Rae could be right. Porter didn't want to die, that means someone killed him.

"The guy I knew, never would have killed himself, but maybe you never really know people." He shrugged his shoulders.

"Hey I'm sorry if this is weird, but have you heard of Scylla?" She asked. I was shocked by her asking that question. Did she suspect her?

"He said he knew her back in the day. I think he said he was going to see her that night." Raelle's whole mood changed. For once, I think I sensed fear in her. Fear for herself? No, fear of losing someone she loved, even if it was Scylla. She loved her, she always will.

"Will you excuse me?"

"Yeah?" The man said.

I started to follow but she stopped me.

"No, Saturn stay here." She told me.

"Rae, stop for a moment please."

"I need to find someone, just stay-"

"Raelle please." I asked. She sighed before stepping closer. "What's going on? Some dude died because he killed himself, but oh wait, he didn't really kill himself? Instead your crazy girlfriend did? Why aren't we telling Anacostia about this right now? You could get killed!" I whisper yelled.

"And so could she. Trust me, I am trying to get to the bottom of this, but your not making it go any faster."

"Just be careful." I wrapped my arms around her and she returned the gesture.

"I always am."
