Ruby Riot: Kirishima x Reader

~Chapter 5~

After dinner, you, Kirishima, and Denki headed back to your dorms. You start to complete your extra homework that Professor Aizawa assigned earlier, plus the homework from your other courses.

You begin your night routine, and when you're done you retrieve your diary from your backpack to write another entry.

Monday, 2/1/2021 • 9:45 pm

Dear Diary,

I finally gotten through my first day at U.A. University, it was pretty stressful. I almost gotten hurt today by Bakugo over something pointless, but Kirishima stepped in to protect me.....
Kirishima...I leaned a lot about him today. He's such an amazing person with such an inspiring story, but I worry for him. His will to protect is so strong that death is an option for him. I want to be a pro hero one day, but I have different beliefs, I don't think the hero should die in the end....no one should. This is why hero's work together to make sure everyone is safe.
Something happened between Kirishima and I today, he admitted that I'm beautiful. I'm not sure that he meant it, but I know for sure that I wasn't supposed to know that. I tried to change the subject to ease his embarrassment, but part of me wished I went back to question him about it. I think Kirishima is a really nice guy, and I do think we do have a lot in common. I definitely want to get to know him more. He has such a beautiful soul and an ethereal look to him, but he's out of my league. He asked me to join him for dinner today, but it seemed that he asked me in a causal way as Denki joined. Part of me wants to shoot my shot because you miss every shot you don't shoot. However, it's far too soon. Anyways, I should be going to sleep, I have a long day tomorrow. Good night !

You close your diary and place it on your desk. The power of sleep begins to over take your body, and you eventually fall asleep.

7:30 am

The next morning you wake up and follow the same routine as before. You head to all your classes and come back to your dorm for your hour break in your schedule before class 1-A starts.

You walk into your dorm and take a seat at your desk to complete some homework before you have to leave for class.

*Knock Knock*
A knock at your door catches your attention. You walk over to answer it.

Momo: Good morning, Y/n ! Sorry for disturbing you.

Y/n: Hey Momo ! What's up ? Come in !

Momo walks into your room admiring all of your paintings and other decorative memorabilia in your room.

Momo: Wow, Y/n you have such a beautiful room. Did you paint those ?

Momo points to your paintings on the wall.

Y/n: I did ! I painted them last year, however I'm new at painting.

Momo: To be a beginner, you're really talented.

Y/n: Aw stop, thank you, I appreciate it.

Momo: No problem ! I actually came by to reintroduce myself !

Y/n: Reintroduce herself ?

Momo: You met me yesterday in class 1-A, but I didn't formally introduce myself in the dorms, I'm the RA of the second floor. I will be your RA for the remainder of the year. I was off duty on your move in day, I really apologize about that.

Y/n: No problem, Momo ! I appreciate you coming by to reintroduce yourself.

Momo: I actually stopped by your room after the quirk apprehension test ended yesterday, but it seemed that you weren't here, so I decided to come by before class started.

Y/n: Oh ! Sorry about that, I was at the cafeteria eating dinner with Kirishima and Denki, I arrived back here around 9:30 pm.

Momo: Oooh Kirishima and Denki ?  I saw how Kirishima saved you from Bakugo yesterday, what a great guy.

Y/n: Yeah he's really sweet, I got to know him a bit on our way to the cafeteria. He's got so many layers to him. We talked and shared a lot yesterday. Oh ! Sorry I'm beginning to info dump.

Momo looks at you with interest.

Momo: No need to apologize. Are you free after class 1-A ? Mina, Uraraka, Tsu, and I are going to have a study session. It would be great if you could join us, I know you don't have a roommate this semester, so I understand how lonely that can get. If you'd like to join, we will be in my dorm around 6:30 pm.

Y/n: Thank you for the invite, Momo ! I will be there, I need to hang with the girls. Surely someone can help me out with calculus as well !

Momo: Sounds good ! I'll see you there.

Momo leaves your dorm. You quickly grab a snack and a bottle of water and consume it on the way to class 1-A.

You arrive to the classroom where it's semi empty, you have more spots to choose from. Kirishima spots you standing at the doorway and motions you over.

Kirishima: HEY Y/N ! OVER HERE !

You walk over to where he's sitting and take the available seat in front of him. You turn to face him.

Y/n: Energetic today are we ?

Kirishima: I'm always full of energ-

Denki: -Actually I'm the one full of energy technically with my quirk.

Denki laughs at his own joke, but quickly realizes it was funnier in his head.

Kirishima: Wow Denki....

Denki: What ? You guys are no fun, see if I ever charge your phone again !

Y/n: I couldn't tell if Denki was being sarcastic or not.

Kirishima: So, how are you ?

Y/n: I'm doing great ! How about you ?

Kirishima: That's great to hear, I'm doing great. I had time to work out earlier today, so I'm pumped.

Y/n: I feel the pumped vibes from you ! By the way, thank you for letting me join y'all at dinner yesterday, I had fun.

Kirishima: Don't mention it, glad you could join. We'll be there today if you'd like to join ?

Y/n: Sure, what time ?

Kirishima exchanges a look with Denki, it seems they've come to a consensus without needing to communicate with words.

Kirishima: 6:30 pm.

Y/n: Crap. That was the time that Momo said I should go and study with her. I can't bail on her, she invited me out first. It's okay, I can always eat with Kirishima another time.

Y/n: I would love to join, but Momo came by my dorm before class and invited me to join her and the girls for a study session at 6:30 pm.  I'll just have to find something to eat around the dorm tonight. Can I join you guys tomorrow instead ? I promise I'll be there tomorrow at 6:30 pm sharp.

Kirishima looks a little defeated, but he quickly changes his expression to an excited look.

Kirishima: No problem at all, we will see you tomorrow for dinner then !

Denki: Bro imagine studying.

Y/n: I mean it's the only way to pass.

Professor Aizawa walks in the room sluggishly, looking even more tired than usual. Class begins. It's a boring class day just filled with written work and a lecture on how to better control our quirk. Class ended and we all filed out the room.

4:30 pm

You head back to your dorm to complete last minute homework and by 6:30 pm you head over to Momo's room.
